Looking for Spanish/Latin Restaurant for girls dinner.
Hi All,
I am looking for recommendations for a good reasonably priced latin/spanish restaurant that serves sangria for a nice dinner out for 5 girls in our 30s to celebrate a birthday. We all have kids and don't get out much :) so we are looking for a nice place. We would prefer a place that does not have loud music. Something classy but not too snooty or uptight. Preferably in lower manhattan.
Does anyone have any recommendations? We've been to Agave and liked it and now want to try something new.
Thank you very much in advance.

I didn't mean that they would run around, I meant that they would "hang out" and not really eat nearly $25 worth of food. if we are booking a room, then why does it matter if there are a few extra chairs there. It's not like I'm not paying for the adults. If he's willing to sell it for 13 ppl, then it should not matter if 2 extra chairs are required for non-eaters. And it did sound as if he did not want us because he made several references to the fact that there were other parties booked that night. I don't need to go somewhere where it's a favor to me. Seems that I would to be feel welcome. My kids don't eat in nice restaurants either but I do want to include them for this occasion so what am i supposed to do? I'll go where we are wanted.

Thank you very much! I actually just spoke with Temp and they want to move us to the private dining area which is great. But the price goes way up to $75 pp, which is also maybe okay. But I told him that I would have a few kids, all under age 4 and he said he would charge us $25 per kid. I know for a fact that these kids will not eat a single thing except maybe a piece of bread and ice cream, if that. Just seems ridiculous to spend an extra $100 for kids to run around and not eat a thing. It seemed like he didn't want us I guess. Too bad because I really thought it may be a good match. Am calling Frankie's now.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
This is my first experience at CH. I'm planning a small dinner party for my 35th birthday. I'd like to do it in Brooklyn- park slope/prospect heights/bay ridge/sheepshead bay.
I would like good food, nice space with good service- on the fancier side, but reasonable if possible. Only thing is that we are bringing our kids and our friends' kids, age 4 and 2 so we would want something private or semi-private and kid friendly so kids won't bother anyone. I desperately need ideas.
around 15 people.
Thank you so much!
