Reviews of Passover Hotel Programs?

I had an air purifier running 24 hours a day in my guest room. It helped. And I had to trash the filter when I got home. But my allergies weren't triggered.

Wondering how they were affected by the hurricane.

Reviews of Passover Hotel Programs?

Yes... The hotel is moldy, mildewy, smelly, damp, dirty and in disrepair. Some areas of the hotel were stifling hot and others were freezing cold. All meals are ordered from a menu and served by a waiter - even breakfast. There were many food choices at meals, but few were tasty or healthy. Many dishes were returned after a couple bites. Most meat dishes were not edible. Tea room is open a couple hours in the afternoon and then again late at night. At other times of the day, you can't even get a drink. Hotel rooms are large and spacious.

Burgers Bar - Cedarhurst

Gotham Burger Co. will open in its place (Teaneck).

Shabbos Special- Teaneck

Sammy's Deli and Petak's Deli closed several weeks ago. No one in Teaneck noticed.

Caterer NJ

Try Five Star Caterers in Teaneck.

Passover programs 2011

At Kutsher's, you could NOT get any drink outside of mealtime and the 2-hour window when the tea room was open. No tea, no coffee, no seltzer, no juice, no soda. A few water coolers with small drinking cups were available, but that was it.

At the very least, there should always be a hot water urn available, with tea bags and instant coffee.

Humous ELite in Englewood, NJ

I highly recommend Hummus Elite.... if you ever have the craving to eat an entire container of hummus as your complete meal.

airheads are now kosher certified

Tried it last week. Tastes like plastic. Even my kids agreed that it's awful.

wasserman and lemberger

There are no hotels or tourist attractions on the "DC line". It's a 30-45 minute drive to a DC hotel or to any museum, memorial or government building.

Kind of like the Teaneck restaurants are 6 miles from the "NY line", but a 30-45 minute drive to Times Square.

wasserman and lemberger

Kosher Pastry Oven is your best option for fish or pasta. Keep in mind it's a 30-45 minute drive to DC outside of rush hour.

Review of Ariels of Englewood

I completely agree with you, Foodtekie. However that strategy seems to be working for MochaBleu in Teaneck. Everyone I talk to complains of their terrible service. I experienced it when I first went and I've never gone back. But every time I pass by the restaurant, it's packed inside.

Why do people return repeatedly to a restaurant with inferior service? It's not like it's inexpensive.

Five Star Caterers at Keter Torah

Yes, a bar mitzvah and a non-profit luncheon. Presentation was very well done. I think they could use additional waiters because service was a little slow (but they were polite).

Wouldn't you rather give the money to the couple? I have no vested interested in any of the caterers, but I just feel people spend too much money on these affairs.

Five Star Caterers at Keter Torah

Five Star is very good. Good food and beautiful presentation.

If your budget can afford the more expensive caterers, do society a favor.... hire Five Star and donate your savings to charity.

Stingers Sports Bar in Deal/Long Branch is a great family option

Thanks for this info. Are kids allowed in the bar? What's the atmosphere/clientele like?

Kosher at New Yankee Stadium and Citi Field

I noticed the same. The kosher menu at Yankee Stadium is now limited to hot dogs and knishes. Last season's menu was much more extensive and diverse.

Also the section 210 stand is now at 214A.

Lunch somewhere off the NJ Turnpike

The Turnpike is 120 miles long. Could you be more specific?

Kosher in Philadelphia- ASAP

Any updates on kosher places in downtown Philly? Even the vaad website looks like it might not be up to date.

Is Rabica in Teaneck worth its salt (or gnocchi to be specific)?

Cappucino neglected to mention that for $8, the five chicken tenders came with a beverage, a side and a cookie. And cornbread on the table. Ignoring the quality of the tenders for a moment, this is actually a very good deal!

Is Rabica in Teaneck worth its salt (or gnocchi to be specific)?

Don't know about gnocchi, but I've never found anything worthwhile at Rabica.

MochaBleu in Teaneck

Finally tried out this place.... what a disaster! Four of us went out for a late night snack. We ordered very lightly, spent $100 and left hungry. $18 for a small personal pizza!!!! $7 for a miniature-sized soup! You get only what you order and nothing else - nothing comes on the side - no salad, fries or anything. No bread, crackers or rolls on the table. One entree was served much later than the others. Water was never refilled. I don't get how they could charge so much for so little at dinner time, and then expect you to stop by in the morning for a bagel and coffee.... I'm guessing that would be about $10. And there's no good excuse for the bakery not being dairy. Of course we weren't even offered dessert.

Burgers Bar coming to Teaneck

The window signs are up - on Queen Anne Rd on the block between Mocha Bleu and the Exxon station. Poor location for a takeout place.... there's very limited convenient parking for a quick stop.

Kosher Carribean?

I've had no trouble finding plenty of kosher food to buy at grocery stores on both St. Thomas and Grand Cayman. My advice is to get a room with a kitchenette or at least a fridge and microwave.

Looks like this will be a unique kosher option. I saw this ad on craigslist:

How does sushi go with a French-Italian menu???

tootsie rolls kosher ...

Here's what I received today from the Tootsie Rolls company in response to my inquiry:
"Kosher certification is under consideration at the present time."

Kosher Food in San Antonio Texas

Thanks for the advice. Hashgacha is a requirement for me. I mentioned Greens specifically because it is under hashgacha.
