Best restaurant in Long Beach
In 30 years of dining at Kelly's I've yet to be disappointed. Quality service, quality food. The Prime Rib and Pepper Steak are two of my favorites. I have yet to find a Pepper Steak anywhere that can compete with Kelly's. Dinners include soup or salad, both of which are superb. Prepare to be spoiled as you are escorted to your booth. Reservations taken.
Torrance lunch spots
Definitely agree with New York Deli #2. Outstanding sandwiches (the pastrami is without equal). The quality of the food and service is always consistent, in part due to the owner being onsite at all times. In addition to a small takeout area they have a large dining area for lunch/dinner. When I get a pastrami craving I drive in from Orange County. Well worth the drive.
lunch spots near LB airport/signal hill?
If you're in the mood for an excellent burger, two places come to mind. The Thirsty Isle at Lakewood and Carson makes about the best burger in the area. Close behind is Curley's (Cherry at Willow). Stop by Curley's on Friday for lunch and be sure to order a bowl of their Clam Chowder. Excellent!
