Best Caesars in YYC

Go to the Unicorn Pub! They have a "Hotter Than Hell" Caeser. It is sooooo good, after having a couple sips you get past the heat of the caesar. Cool down with a pint of Velvet Fog after ;)

Cocochine(?) - CGY

Yep, its at 32nd street and 17th ave SW.

That location is a retail black hole. Many moons ago (10 years...maybe more like 12-13 years) that used to be a Harvey's Restaurant. Then it was a sports pub, and then another sports pub, and then it just sort of sat for a while.

I will be pulling for the new business in that location. Hopefully they make it

Turning 18 in Calgary - Pubs, steak house?

Guys, I'm wondering if I can walk into Ruths Chris in a nice pair of jeans and a nice shirt? I'm really not one for dressing up too much.

Ruths Chris vs Vintage? Anyone?

Not really. KFC opened up in the food court last November or so.

Turning 18 in Calgary - Pubs, steak house?

Thanks for the tips guys. About the whole fireball whiskey...long story whatever, my bad. The internet is a bad place to lie. My bad. Forgiveness please.

Anyway, I'm thinking of going to Caeser's for my b-day. I'm thinking like, 3 martini's, a new york strip, a double wide piece of cheese cake, and a fat Montecristo before I head home for a nap.

Maybe throw a caeser salad in there for good measure.

Turning 18 in Calgary - Pubs, steak house?

Hey guys,

I'm going to be turning 18 in a bit here and my parents have offered to take me out anywhere I want for my birthday. Won't be a heavy drinking affair obviously, that will be saved for when I go out with my friends. Anyway, I was thinking of going out for a Steak maybe, but I'm not entirely sure where to go. I know Hys has shut down, but have they found a new location yet?

Chicago Chop House? Vintage? Ruths Chris?

I know steak is sort of standard fair in Calgary, and that I could have searched but forgive me for that one.

2 - I'm also on the look out for a pub, I love nachos, not too big on wing's but some of my friends are. I was thinking of the Drum and Monkey or maybe Ship and Anchor.

But I'm also on the look out for a Pub with a larger beer selection, maybe some local beers? I know Bottle Screw Bills has that "Around the world in 80 beers" but from the outside BSB doesn't look like much. Maybe I'm wrong.

thanks guys!

New to Calgary...looking for bread and nice groceries

The owners of Inglewood Pizza are my back door neighbors. Best pizza I've had.

Welcome to Calgary.

Fireball Whisky - Calgary

Yeah I'm just going to pick up a small bottle. If I don't like it, it will just sit in my liquor cabinet until I have some people over who are interested I suppose. Its worth a try I think.

Fireball Whisky - Calgary

Maybe Chowhound is not the right place to ask this question. But last week a friend was mentioning to me that a while back they had some Whisky that tasted like those little cinnamon hearts. It peaked my interest, and after some googling I have figured out it is called "Fireball Whisky" but their website doesn't mention availability in specific areas. Anyone know if I can pick up a bottle of this stuff in Calgary? I just want to try it, it sounds fairly interesting.

Weekend in Vancouver...

So in early march my mom and I are spending a weekend in Vancouver. We jet in Friday around 4:30pm and then leave around 7 AM Monday morning. We are staying in the southern downtown area, but of course we have cabs and public transport at our disposal.

I'm looking for some suggestions for dinner, Friday-Saturday-Sunday night. Were open to pretty much any cuisine. Maybe some of you could make some suggestions for Indian and Chinese restaurants? I've heard Lumiere under went some changes, is it still a super star?

Keep in mind I'm only 18, so there will be no drinking on my part unfortunately. That rules out bars, night clubs, pubs, etc. Thanks everyone.
