Asking for a steak "medium rare" To start off I must say that now that I am over 60 yrs.old I am ordering steak and roast beef cooked to Medium rare. When I was younger I used to order and cook my steak Medium well. Has that situation happened to any others??? and I would also agree that your pickiness should increase as the steak price increases. |

New Trader Joe's yea/nay thread - 1st quarter 2010 [OLD] Milk prices here in Southern Calif TJ stores have skyrocketted. from 1/2/2010 up 20% on quart sized containers, now this month 10 cents higher, thus used to be 99 cents, now its $1.29 each, which is a 29% increase. Whats goin on TJ????????? |

Chelsea area - first date dinner...suggestions, please a very good Spanish restaurant on West 23rd St. Between 7th and 8th Avenues souon the south side of the street called El Quehote ( I know I mispelled the name) Very good food there - every time I visit N.Y C. I always have a meal or two there. and its only a block from where my sister lives. She also visits there on a regular basis. I believe it is nearer to 8th ave than 7th. It is very conversation friendly and they make very decent drinks too. If that place is too pricey for your budget - try the diner on the corner of 23rd and Ninth ave, on the south west corner - they also make drinks there too. |

In San Pedro I believe was a greek restaurant called Papadakis Taverna but double check that listing as it has been years since I have been there. |

Why is Fresh O.J. So Expensive in L.A.? You wanna know why fresh squeezed OJ costs so much here in LA??? I'll tell you why, its cause they import the freakin oranges from Florida, thats why. I can never understand why the growers export most of the oranges elsewhere when they are grown right here, it just boggles the mind. |

Best corned beef and pastrami in L.A.? A suggestion not a recommendation, but on Pastrami try The Hat, there are a few around town. One in Pasadena and the other in Rosemead. I think there are others around too. |

Whole Wheat Pizza Dough recipe? hi and thank you for your comments on pizza dough. Could you explain your comment about fans of greek style dough - what type of dough would that be??
