Lead me to a great wine-pairing dinner in Delray
Thanks everyone. I'll research all of these. I also wrote to Max's Harvest to see if they have anything along these lines but haven't heard back. I'm surprised. In Orlando, nearly every restaurant seems to have one monthly.
Chow-worthy in Delray?
Max's Harvest was PERFECT. We all loved our meals..
Those pan-fried baby artichokes with basil aioli were amazing, as was the tomato-mozzarella thing. The dry-aged beef burger with homemade fries was possibly the best burger I ever had. My mother loved the chicken--I have never seen her eat like that. My husband said the pork chop was slightly bland but it was supposed to come with a sausage dressing. He swapped that out for risotto, which he's still talking about two days later, but the chop was designed to go with that sausage, which surely would have tied the dish together perfectly. The desserts (flourless chocolate cake, an apple thing, donuts) were delicious and huge.
The service was really polished, which is such a nice change. The staff changed our utensils after ever course, remembered to bring extra plates, did all those little things that make such a difference.
So here's a sincere recommendation for Max's Harvest. Thanks CFByrne for the rec.

Lead me to a great wine-pairing dinner in Delray
I'd like to gift my father-in-law with an amazing wine-pairing dinner experience. It needs to be in Delray, near his home. Italian would be best but I'm open to anyplace that does an excellent job. Nothing too terribly frou-frou. Any ideas?

Healthy/low-calorie dining options in Disney World?
It is very easy to eat healthfully at Disney World, assuming you have the willpower. Every single restaurant, including fast-food counters, has at least one vegetarian item, and nearly all also have at least one low-fat item. So, you can get the bacon-cheeseburger but also the salmon with couscous, a chicken wrap, a grilled vegetable sub ... every restaurant does its own thing. You can find up-to-date table-service menus at www.disneyworld.com but need allears.net or other sites to see fast food menus.

Chow-worthy in Delray?
Oh wow, this looks like a winner. Sincere thanks. Someone on the Central Florida board, where I wrongly posted this originally, suggest Tryst. Any thoughts on one versus the other?

Chow-worthy in Delray?
I need a midscale to upscale restaurant with delicious food, preferably in Boynton/Lake Worth/Delray. Did Henry's last time and need to move on. Maybe someplace in one of those cute Delray neighborhoods? A gastropub that actually has good food? Nothing too frou-frou, as we'll have Grandma and a teen with us. Help?

Looking for Dinner near the Swan & Dolphin - Orlando
The Swan-Dolphin is smack in the center of Disney property, V, so you're a 15-minute cab ride minimum from any independent restaurant. If you want to leave the hotel, you can walk around the boardwalk to the restaurants at the BoardWalk Inn and the Yacht and Beach Club resorts. You can stroll to Epcot if you have a pass. You can take a bus to Downtown Disney, where there are a bunch of restaurants--Wolfgang Puck, House of Blues, Portobello, etc. Or maybe you can go to Celebration. Celebration Town Tavern and Cafe d'Antonio are ok choices. You'll need a car or a longer cab ride to get to our top picks though.

Disney-proximate Fast Chow?
Your best bet is Sand Lake Road, about seven miles north. Anatolia (Turkish), Cedar's (Lebanese), Greek Tavrrna, Press 101 (upscale sandwiches), Peperoncino (casual Italian) and Saffron (Indian) are all good lunch choices. Seito Sushi and Anthony's Coal-Fired Pizza are also decent options.

Food at Disney
Epcot has some very good food if you know where to look. I just wrote an article about the best cheap eats (http://bit.ly/xaEWEG) and found that Norway far and away has the best fast food. The little place at France has good quiches too, and the Morrocco fast foodery has a great sampler platter. In the Future World section, the cafeteria-style Seasons in the Land pavilion has excellent full meals for about $10. When it comes to sit-down, I'd suggest either of the France restaurants, Norway if you aren't pestered by princesses, Le Cellier in Canada if you're simply meat-and-potatoes folks. Also, Via Napoli in Italy has very good pizza and pasta in a casual setting. The other Italian restaurant was closed for renovations, last I heard.

New to Central Florida and Yes! It appears that all "farmers markets" here stink.
I haven't been yet, but I'm hearing great things about Orlando's Homegrown Co-op. It's not a farmers market but it may have the kinds of foods you're looking for. Nearly everything in stock comes from within 50 miles of Orlando. http://homegrown.locallygrown.net

reasonably priced good food near Orlando Ritz Carlton without car
There's a great Cuban right near your hotel called Padrino's. It's in Hunter's Creek in a strip center right off John Young Parkway. The sushi place Mikado is right nearby and gets good reviews on this board

Orlando: Family friendly non-chains?
I'm not sure about T-Rex as an affordable alternative. I just took two teens there for lunch and a steak is $31. The other one got a fried mozzarella sticks appetizer for $8.99. Strawberry lemonade is $4 plus refills are $1. I'm sure a kids' meal is less than $31 but add in the cost of a taxi and you might as well give the little ones a plate of spaghetti or a pizza ("no green stuff") at La Luce.
Orlando: Family friendly non-chains?
There's not a ton in that location but we can get you a decent meal or two. Nearly all Orlando-area restaurants welcome kids even if they don't cater to them. Head to Celebration and try Celebration Town Tavern (casual seafood), Cafe d'Antonio (casual Italian) or Colombia (upscale Cuban). Or, cab it Sand Lake Road. There, you'll find Anatolia (Turkish), Cedar's (Lebanese), a Greek place on the other end of the Anatolia strip mall, Seito Sushi (a great small local sushi chain), Roy's (upscale Hawaiian with a great set-up for kids), Saffron for decent Indian, and I'm sure a few others that fellow hounds will share. Your third choice is International Drive. There I'd recommend Taverna Opa, our unit of a three-restaurant chain with good Greek food and live entertainment. It is very family oriented, but quite loud.

Please lead me to an excellent wine dinner near Delray
Often restaurants will have a set-price, multi-course dinner and pair wines to each course. They're generally three to five courses and feature dishes that are not normally on the menu.
Please lead me to an excellent wine dinner near Delray
I want to buy my father-in-law seats at a wonderful wine dinner, preferably Italian but any amazing food that's not too frou-frou will work. He lives in Delray, so we need to stay within the Boca-Boynton lines. Can you tell me who will knock his socks off for his 84th birthday?

orlando urgent: Ravenous pig or Luma date night
You can not go wrong with either one, and The Ravenous Pig is no dive, to be sure. But Luma on Park has the sexy ambiance you're seeking. I'd go with that for date night and choose The Pig for your next dinner out. Both have amazing food.

Orlando hound seeks two fab casual Vancouver dinners
We ended up making it to Campagnola too. Great restaurant! Cool casual vibe, reasonable prices (little over $15 except for four entrees), and those chickpea ceci were amazing. Also loved the fennel tofetti pasta, the pizza (amazing crust), and the carpaccio with salsa verde. The roasted radishes were only ok.
