I've found that the majority of Italian restaurants in LA do not serve whole wheat pasta. Thus, I'm curious what restaurant serves the best whole wheat pasta? Any suggestions?
Need Valentine's Day Solution...
So every year, Valentine's Day comes along and I'm faced with the same dilemma. The majority of restaurants either offer only a prefix menu, or unreasonably hike up the prices. On top of that, I've also found that you can count on poor service. My options in the past have been to cook myself, or go for a good sushi meal, where the food and service is relatively consistent whether it's a holiday or not.
Thus, I'm always looking for a good restaurant where I can avoid this. And while I don't mind spending money at quality restaurants on good food , I do object spending a lot on mediocre food paired with bad service.
If anyone has any suggestions on where I can go on Valentine's Day, and avoid these issues, please let me know. Thanks!

The Foundry is a GREAT suggestion, and its one of my favorites, but its also a place we've been to several times. I'm looking for places similar to it though, so you're on the right track.

Nothing is wrong with Hatfields but we just went there. And although its beautiful, I'm not the biggest fan of the food at the Little Door.

So I'm looking for a restaurant suggestion for my girlfriend's birthday. I have a reservation at Osteria Mozza but all I could get was a table for 6:45, which seems too early to be festive. I'm looking for something similar that, Hatfields, Comme Ca, etc. Any thoughts?
