Try Patriot Lobster in Salem. They Fed Ex lobsters every day of the week. I've never heard of shipping cooked lobsters.
Best Boston Burger
Tried Five Guys over the weekend. Outstanding burger. The meat was fresh, tons of cheese. Fresh french fries.
The only problem was the wait. It was PACKED.

Lent seafood market observations
I can tell you as a seafood distriubutor that lent becomes less of an event every year. The old catholic women are dying off.
There is also a major salmon shortage this year which has made a mess of the beginning of lent.
Haymarket and Fish Advice

My mother an old yankee buys her meat based on the cheapest price she can find at all of the major supermarkets. There's always a reason it's on sale.

Was there on Saturday night. Yup it's that awful. I can't understand how a restaurant that makes it's name on seafood can have terrible calarmari. They buy the cheap chinese squid and it's rubber.
The only bright spot were the Katama oysters. They were delicious.
Previte's Butcher Shop in Weymouth
Did it open yet? I stopped by a month ago and they were not open yet.
I can't wait for a high end butcher shop on the South Shore. I'm hoping the new one will be a lot cleaner than the Quincy location.
Raw Pizza dough Metro West
LaCascia's in Medford (not exactly MetroWest) has the best dough I've ever had.
Haymarket and Fish Advice
On Friday, the haymarket vendors go around to all of the local distributors and buy their "special fish" . Their motto is "under a buck, on the truck".
Go to the North end, Mercato del Mare. You'll thank me later.
Quincy favorites?
I'd put Genarro's up there for Italian with anything south of Boston. I used to to make deliveries to them and Jerry (I think that's his name) would be making everything from scratch in the morning. Huge portions, with incredibly reasonable prices.
Fuji in Wollaston. Great great sushi. I work in the seafood business and I know who they buy their seafood from.
Grumpy White's - Some of the best pub food around. Loads of butter on toasted bread. mmmmmmmm
My wife's favorite spanish place. Not my cup of tea. La Paloma.

We also did this promotion but added on the Wianno oysters. The shrimp appetizer is probably the best shrimp I've ever had. Unreal.
