EU is shut, now a (good) pizza place

Best Tiramisu in the City

Recommendation for any fellows with a sweet tooth: Paradiso la casa del Tiramisu - a small charming cafe that opened recently on Ave B close to 7th street, lucky for me across the road from my house. absolutely amazing tiramisu made by Alessandra the owner following her family's recipe. 5-6 types (for starters try the classico). I took a few trays home for a party and everyone who tried it commented on how amazing this material is... try it, you will not regret

Dinner with a baby

dont hold back on taking your baby to any NY restaurant (including per se)..we have a 7 month old that has napped in several of the finest dining establishments this city has to offer. one of our favorites for brunch is five points on great jones street, they have large tables with lots of room in between them which makes for very comfortable stroller parking, are nice & accomodating, and the brunch menu (and bloody mary's) is awesome.

Soba

friends...what noodles have you all been noodling? Sobaya is by far the best of the three, superior noodles in texture, composition and made using only the traditional methods. i would not hesitate for a moment

in search of a special italian for b'day with truffles on the menu

mile grazie

bar in east village that serves food

try zeitzeff on 3rd and B, more of a casual restaurant but super food that is very reasonable and a full bar with some nice cocktails. you could stand by the bar or grab a couple of tables

Need the Best Brunch Suggestion

if you are willing to take a 20 minute cab ride downtown try Little Giant on Orchard. Had brunch there this past weekend you will be in for a good surprise

Truffles--to serve at home..where to buy?

i think it hasnt been around for too long in its current loaction and does a lot of work directly with restaurants/ wholesale. i found out about it since i am around the corner - stepped in and found it to be great

what happened to YAMA on W Houston

where can one find best selection of hot sauce?

i am a hot sauce fanatic and am continuously looking for more interesting flavors and varieties to add to my collection. does anyone know a location in manhattan that offers a good variety of interetsing sauces?

Truffles--to serve at home..where to buy?

SOS is a great spot - they will work with you to find exactly what you need at the right price. White Truffles from Alba are heavenly - one shaving will send you straight to the clouds - my advice have it with a simple spaghetti and butter sauce so you dont introduce any distractions, let the steam from the pasta with truffles go into your nostrils for a moment or two - you will know what i mean. I have had white truffles from ISTRIA peninsula in Croatia , they are amazingly good at a fraction of the price and may give you the experience you are seeking

ZEITZEFT e village - a find, and a recommendation

i have been frequenting a small and relatively hidden restaurant by the name of Zeitzeft on Avenue B and 3rd street. Zeitzeft opened a few months ago by Amina and her sons who have another spot in tribeca. All i can say is the food is wonderful - simple cooking with attention to the quality of the ingredients and prices that are super reasonable. Burgers are from another world. Amina is deeply engaged in the origin of the ingredients, that are all organically farmed and raised, and keeps the place absolutely spotless.
Enjoy!

Dim Sum made from free-range chicken/meat, non-farmed fish/shellfish, organic vegetables/rice, etc?

i would suggest Mr Ks on 53rd and Lex - nice authentic food, clean and fresh, and service with a smile. Priced reasonably - especially if you get one of their menu meals
