Fresh kimchi
Let us know if you find any kimchi with raw seafood thrown in, like clams. I love that kind.
Steveston/Richmond best of Suggestions
Yeah, Gudrun and Hog Shack are possibly the best places in Steveston for craft beer.
Best Burger in Vancouver - what's your vote?
I've been to Max's a couple times and they've done my burger medium-rare both times when I asked. Actually, the second time I asked for rare but it came out med-rare. Pic of second time attached. Actually, while it was quite pink, it could've been more juicy. Pink yet a little dry.
Their default doneness of fries is definitely not enough for me. "Well done fries" came out much better for my taste.

If you ask for the fries "well done", you'll get a better experience :) and ask for the burger rare/medium-rare.
What are you enjoying at Vancouver street food carts?
They rock. I feel so healthy eating their stuff. They'll also do double meat for I think $2-3 more. Great quality!
Good Cantonese late-nite snacks ("da lang"/打冷) places ?
I'm scratching my head...is "da lang" the Cantonese word for late-nite snacks? Or is it Mandarin? I've always known this type of food to be "sik siu yeh".
Dine out.... Good, bad or indifferent?
If they can reproduce that experience at 7:00pm, I'll tip my hat to them and to DOV.

Their website says they use pork that's been aged 10 days. Technically, isn't all pork that's sold on the retail level at least a few days old? Maybe even a week since the original pig was slaughtered? (I may not know what I'm talking about, but that factoid intruiged me.)

I'm thinking around 10 years ago, that Clubhouse was really good. The original Japanese owner was a golf nut and it sorta showed in how he decorated the place. Then he sold it about 5 years ago and I found the food afterwards to be really blah.
I really liked their okonomiyaki and deep fried sushi (back when not many places did deep fried sushi) up until he sold the place.

You mean Clubhouse didn't go down the shithole after the original owner sold the place? Hmmm...I used to love their cheap 'n cheerful atmosphere and good food.
Where can i find the Best Fried chicken in the GVRD
If you ever go to St. Augustine's on Commercial, don't get their fried chicken. Seriously overpriced and seriously underseasoned. Extreme disappointment. I know we're drunk but at least give us good food!

We got ours in a cute box that has the top where you fold it closed and it has built-in handles.

Big Al does the 1st and last Saturdays of the month at The Lion's Den Cafe near Kingsway & Fraser (beside Les Faux Borgeois). Not sure what food he cooks on those days though...

So I tried some takeout fried chicken from Happy Day. Flavourwise it's good, with a really rich and spicy sauce. But I was disappointed that it was no longer crispy by the time I got home. I used to love the korean fried chicken with sauce at Ajuker Fried Chicken inside of H-Mart in Coquitlam. But for some reason that stall no longer does fried chicken. :( I thought it was the best. It stayed crispy even during the long drive back to Vancouver. I guess it's due to the special Korean double-frying technique.
vegetarian ramen with housemade noodles?
Does *anyone* make their own ramen noodles in Vancouver?
Superlative pizza by the slice pizzerias ?

I tried Trilussa once. Is it me or do none of the pizzas have tomato sauce? Is it roman style to be sauce-less?

You mean Hawker's Delight?
Best spots for Beer in Victoria
AFAIK Victoria doesn't really have the equivalent of Alibi Room or St. Augustine's...but Victoria is really strong in brewpubs: Swans, Spinnakers, Moon Under Water, etc. I haven't had a chance to try Spinnakers but I'd recommend Swans and Moon Under Water. Special recommendation for Moon Under Water because they specialize in session beers, something really under-represented in the rest of BC. Lower alcohol, lower carbonation so you can really have a couple pints without feeling too hammered or bloated and gassy. Both Swans and Moon Under Water offer taster sizes. Moon Under Water deserves to be busier because they do good work but are just outside of downtown and hence pretty empty on some nights.
Tan Tan Ramen
Ramen Santouka on Robson has it as a special seasonal ramen. Not sure if they have it at the moment...
Best Bibimbap in Greater Vancouver?
I love the bibimbap from Coma Food Truck. Great value and tastes good.
Swiss Bakery
Swiss Bakery also makes the ciabatta buns for Meat & Bread in Gastown :) Crusty and almost crunchy.

It's a case of knowing what a place is good for. For me, I love their organic baguettes. I buy them frozen/partially baked and finish them off at home. Crusty with a tangy, flavourful, aromatic interior. I had some yesterday with 5-year aged cheddar and Central City Red Racer ESB. Awesome. Their german-style pretzels are also good. Can't say much about their other stuff.
Best Cupcakes in Vancouver?
I hate cupcakes with a passion. Sad, dry excuses for real full-sized cakes. The chain stores have horrible product. I'd go with custom-order, person-with-a-dream type companies like http://somethingsweetforyou.wordpress.com/ . This person's done the Baker's Market and several friends and family members have ordered through her. Cupcakes and cake pops are moist and delicious.
