Thank you for your help, but that's the one with shortening in it. This recipe was made with oil, thanks though!
Lost "Blue ribbon" Carrot Cake recipe from old magazine
hello everyone:)
Years ago, I think it was 2001 or maybe 2002, I purchased a magazine that had a recipe for a blue ribbon winner carrot cake (young girl won some kind of state fair), the thing that made this recipe different from other recipes was that it called for one can of Campbell's tomato soup. I know that sounds really disgusting but this cake was anything but that. This cake was delicious, so moist and to me was better than any other carrot cake I have tried.
Unfortunately, the magazine stayed at my mom's house and she can't seem to recall what happened to this magazine. I can't seem to remember if it was in one of those "Holiday baking" magazines or if it was some kind of "Southern Living" magazine. I honestly can't remember but I think there was a recipe for some lasagna roll-ups in the same magazine so I guess I am leaning towards the latter.
I have done a ton of Google searches for this recipe but have had no luck. The recipe was made with oil and the only recipe I found similar to it was with shortening. i would love to make this cake for easter because everyone in my family was a fan of it. If you can help, or know what I am talking about please respond to this, thank you!
Best,
Paula
