Visiting in Early June. Want recommendation on places to eat.

Hi my bf and I are visiting SF in early June staying in Marina. We're looking for recommendations for really good inexpensive eats. I work in catering and my bf is a huge foodie as well so we're open to trying anything unique and exciting. One of the things we're looking for are good Regional Chinese Cuisine i.e. Sichuan, Yunnan, Beijing, Dim Sum, etc. Also I'm a huge fish fiend so I would absolutely love to find a sushi place that has a good selection of local fish.
We are also taking a trip to Napa on Friday so we would love any input on vineyards, places to eat there, any place that does food and wine pairings.
Any input would be helpful. Thank you. :D

Unless Jade Asian have changed their dim sum chef, when I went last year it was amongst the worst dim sum I've had in Flushing ever.

Hunan in North Flushing

I have noticed a couple of new Hunan Restaurant in north flushing particularly the one on Northern Blvd between Main and Union near the Police Station. If anyone has been, can they give me a run down on their experience and also what dishes would you recommend?

Also on a side note. if anyone can recommend the best "Northeast China" place and dishes you would order, that would be great. Thank you.

The Food Court at Jet Blue Terminal

I've tried Piquillo, the tapas place, a few weeks ago before my flight and the food was surprisingly good. Just ordered 2 small plates, Garbanzo with Blood Sausage and Red Wine Stewed Oxtail. A nice lil place to sit and have a drink and have small bites, food is recommended. And the decor is nice.

This is by far the best dim sum place in Flushing atm. Frequent visitor and good quality dim sum.

What about the Bronx?

I'd have to try that place. My bf goes to Albert Einstein and I'm there constantly. I do have to say, Bronx is rather disappointing in terms of sit down eats but surprisingly ok food delivery. AECom on its website have the menu and numbers links of the restaurants in the area. I recommend Tlaxcali, mexican joint near Parkchester that will deliver to AECom. Thai place called Honey's Pavilion is decent, not the best thai food. Kiraku is pretty good for your generic take out sushi although you can have the real deal in many of the Japanese owned and ran places in Manhattan. TBH, if you have a car, there are a plethora of places very accessible in Queens and Manhattan to eat on the weekends that you will never be bored.

Where to buy frog?

You'll find them in most places that sell live seafood in Chinatown. Try Mott Street between Hester and Grand.

Where to Buy? Old Hens/Chicken Bones for Making Stock?

Any meat place in chinatown will have old hen and chicken bones. Also Fairways on 74th and Bway or 125th will most likely have bones and old hens too along with veal bones and others for very cheap and good. For fresh slaughter chickens, I've mostly seen live poultry places in the boroughs in areas with a large latin or chinese population. Maybe Washington Heights would have them?

Need good dining out options in WPB

I am from NYC and my parents live in Wellington. I visit frequently and have lived there for a year before. Always find dining out to be a challenge in West Palm Beach area. I would like great recommendations for local food in WPB. Nothing is off limits to me except any asian cuisine because being from NYC, any form of asian cuisine in SoFla will be and has been a let down. Absolutely love game animals and seafood. Any input will be a welcome. Thx guys.

Best Grand Sichuan

I tried the St Marks place and found it to be FABULOUS.
We had
1. Sichuan Wonton with Red Oil
2. Dan Dan Noodles
3. Mapo Tofu
4. Chongqing Dry and Spicy Chicken
5. Guizhou Beef
6. Dry Sauteed String Beans
7. Sweet and Sour Lotus Roots
I found everything to be amazing. So much so I had take out from the Chelsea location the following day and found it to be good too but hard to judge from 3 dish after an hour on the subway so will need to go back and sit down. The Mao's menu though, just not so inspiring IMO. Guess just gotta give it a try.
So St Marks compared to Flushing Sichuan. The Mapo Tofu by GS pwns the version S&T has but there are dishes on S&T menu that I guess are catered to more chinese community and they are fantastic and GS does not have.
IE-Dry Sauteed Pig's Large Intestine and Cumin Lamb are FANTASTIC.
Will need to try Szechuan Gourmet now that everyone is raving it.

Best Grand Sichuan

I have not tried any of the Grand Sichuan in Manhattan. Have frequent Little Red Pepper and Spicy&Tasty in Flushing. Trying to take a few friends to try Sichuan. Can anyone recommend which Grand Sichuan to go to? Thank you. :)
