Where to take a "Pizza Virgin" to pop their cherry? How about Eatalian in Gardena? |

Eatalian - new and exciting Italian in the South Bay Staffing issues are still present. At 5:30 on a Friday (last night) I counted at least 11 employees, yet there was only 1 server actually working the floor. Fortunately I always make a point of ordering a pizza when I put my drink order in, because it was about 10 minutes longer than it should have been to get my pasta order in. As always, food was great. |

Who else makes Chocolate Chip cookies with bacon? The recipe I use calls for 2 pounds. Batch size is about the same as the basic toll house recipe. I tried the cookie from LardoTruck and thought it was ok at best. Not even in the same ball park as my homade ones. |

Eatalian - new and exciting Italian in the South Bay I had dinner there today and asked about the cheese making equipment. Apparently their cheese maker was refused a visa, so the equipment will sit unused until they find a replacement. Gelato counter was working and definitely worth the price. I liked the pizza, but I agree with other posters that it is a bit on the limp side. The service wasn't that great and I didn't like that there were 5 or 6 baskets of bread sliced and waiting, when there weren't tables that needed them. It was pretty obvious that the bread for my table had been sitting sliced well in advance of us getting there. They were also out of gnocchi. Overall I liked the place and I do plan on going back. |

Last I had heard was Whole Foods stopped with the lobster bisque. I used to get it regularly at the Torrance store but about 3 or so years ago they stopped making it. |
