Best Caribbean Food in Florida?
The Jamaican Jerkhut Downtown Cafe in Tampa is well worth a try (http://www.restaurantworldtour.com/index.php/directory/USA/Florida/Tampa/Jamaican-Jerk-Hut-Downtown-Cafe/details). The food was really decent and the atmosphere was very authentic too. Some of the best Cubans I have found are at Hugo's on S Howard (http://www.restaurantworldtour.com/index.php/directory/USA/Florida/Tampa/Hugo%27s-Spanish-Restaurant/details).
Best sushi close to Westshore area of Tampa?
I'm heading out for some sushi on Wednesday for lunch with a good friend and want to find somewhere that serves more than just raw fish plopped on top of some rice. I want some sushi. Real sushi. Made with the freshest of fish and with some unique and creative combinations. It needs to be on the west side of Tampa though, the closer to Westshore, the better.
Largo/Seminole/Pinellas Park Suggestions?
Hmm, I've long been trying to find a decent Indian restaurant in Pinellas, so I'll be sure to give this one a go!
Chopstix Chinese restaurant (Tampa)
Sounds interesting! I may well have to add this to my Restaurant World Tour (www.restaurantworldtour.com), but it may be a bit far to go for lunch. Still, I'm desparate to find a decent Chinese place.
My Emeril cookware
My wife bought me some Emeril stainless steel cookware for Christmas last year and I just wanted to say how happy I am with them. It's my first set of "decent" cookware and it's just incredible the difference between the cheap stuff and the stuff you pay for. Has anyone else got this set? What do you think of it? Having not had much experience with cookware, I'm unsure of just how "top of the line" they are.
Brighton, Portsmouth, Eastbourne - lunches and anything else?
I'm assuming you have now completed your trip. Where did you end up eating in Brighton and what did you think?
Thanksgiving dinner in Brighton, UK
Maybe Mama Cherris Soul Food Shack is worth a look? They've got some pretty decent American food, albeit focused on the Southern side of things: http://www.restaurantworldtour.com/index.php/directory/United-Kingdom/Brighton-%26-Hove/Mama-Cherris-Soul-Food-Shack/details
Frozen yogurt in Tampa?
I remember a place that is not only a British goods store, but they also sell frozen yogurt, which I understand to be pretty good. It's in the shopping plaza at Himes and Busch, but I can't remember the name of it...
Good Hot Dogs
I've never been there, and I know it's in Tampa, but I've been told by a few people that Mel's Hot Dogs on Busch Blvd is pretty good: http://www.restaurantworldtour.com/index.php/forum?func=view&id=41&catid=20
Moroccon in Tampa Bay Area
We tried finding a Moroccan place for our Restaurant World Tour here in Tampa, but didn't have any luck. I'm intrigued about this place on TI though... While I won't be able to get there, eat and back in one hour over lunch, I still might have to try it out one night. I'd be intrigued to know if there is one in Tampa specifically.
