Birthday Brodard Chateau in Garden Grove

Yes I have and the food actually is better at the original location. The food at the original locale is more of the to go variety and quick eats. I got the traditional beef stew dishes and the meat and shrimp rolls which they are known for. At Broudard Chateau I got the Fillet Mignon with Rice and the second time got the pork ribs with rice. They also have the same rolls that are sold at the 1st Brodard but now you're paying more! 2 rolls for $5 at Chateau as opposed to 3 rolls for $4.50 at the original and the roles were smaller! Maybe they're going with the less is more train of thought.

Dinner for large group near LAX

Go to the Howard Johnson's near the airport, they have a lunch and dinner buffet for about $15 a head. Or if you're adventurous go down Century and there's a place that is a hole in the wall but will be able to accommodate large group. It is past la Cienega Blvd on the right hand side. Can't remember the name but it's in the Caesar's Motel Parking, they share the same parking. The food is fantastic and made to order and you are looking at $12 per person because the dishes are $6 a hefty plate.

Birthday Brodard Chateau in Garden Grove

You will be severely disappointed with Chateau Brodard. I have been there TWICE, first time was terrible food was subpar-small portions and paid about 40% higher than going rate for the same dishes. Being forgetful and forgiving I gave them another chance thinking it was an off day I went back for a 2nd round a few months later. Not much change. The ambiance is not great, if you consider some low light and dark interior good mood lighting then you can find that at a host of other Little Saigon eateries and have extra money in your wallet by the end of the night. They have a perfect recipe for the makings of a BAD restaurant: mediocre food, small portions, slow service and high prices. Surprisingly they were busy both times we were there but this is one of those places that will NOT live up to the hype.
