Has Water Grill DTLA jumped the shark forever?

They did have quite a run for a while with Michael Cimarusti (before Providence) and David Le Fevre (before MB Post and Fishing with Dynamite).

Sushi in South Bay (revisited)

Not sushi…. but Fishing With Dynamite in MB will certainly help with any seafood cravings.

LA's Oldest Still-Thriving Restaurants

Du-par's was founded in 1938 as a nine-seat stall at the Farmers Market
by James Dunn ("Du") and Edward Parsons ("Par"). Eventually, Du-par's
became a small chain of Southern California restaurants, with current
locations not only in the Farmers Market but also in Thousand Oaks and
Studio City. In the mid-1970s restaurant executive Herb Oberst bought
Du-par's, and ran it until his daughter, Shirley Oberst Kauffman took overoperations in 1994. Kauffman sold the restaurants to Naylor in 2004. At its peak, Du-par's had eight locations around the Greater Los Angeles area.
