NY Hound Not Fooling Around
I love Ess-a-Bagel bagels in NYC, but their chewiness is great for about an hour, after that, because they are humongous, they become quite heavy. Both Fairmount and/or St. Viateur bagels, although they lack this chewiness, are wonderful, less sweet than good NY bagels (no added sugar I guess, which is good) but I find they lack salt when eaten alone (as soon as I add anything - sweet or salty - to these bagels, they become perfect...
Is La Table Tourigny still open?
Thanks kpzoo for your recommandation (I had called twice from NYC but had an answering machine): they are open on Saturdays, exceptionally during the week for a large group. Now we may have to choose between La Table des Jardins Sauvages and La Table Tourigny for the Saturday (we have to cross the border so 7 pm at LTJS seems too early) Most probably, Friday it will be a bistro - Le P'tit plateau, Leméac or Au Petit Extra, depending on our arrival time in Montreal. There are worse places to have dinner :)
Montreal to Gaspesie - what not to miss
As IBlair wrote in 2006, Chez St-Pierre in le Bic is a must stop (was there a month ago). Small restaurant, local produce, so menu is limited (might be a problem for a vegetarian, for example).
Is La Table Tourigny still open?
Thank you all for your input. Since I love mushrooms, I am trying to fit La Table des Jardins Sauvages in my week-end (they will have reopened), so I'm even considering a first dinner in Montreal... too many options!
BTW, is La Table Tourigny open?

Planning a week-end in the Eastern Townships mid-November. Looking for a pleasant inn with an excellent restaurant at the inn or nearby. How good are the restaurants at the Lakeview Inn and Ripplecove Inn?
Thanks.
