Hard to say. Probably the 10-course midday meal I had at An den Kerk near Sint-Truiden in Belgium. not even sure if it still exists. A close second was a meal at Hotel Chanticleer on Nantucket.
My current drink of choice:
Sazerac
I really wish I could:
Be in Trier right now eating at 'Zur Glocke'
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Risotto Parmigiano from Marcella Hazan's Classic Italian Cookbook (1st ed.); 2nd course: her 'Maiale con Latte' (pork braised in milk)
My favorite comfort food:
Risotto Parmigiano or gouda mac and cheese.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Not necessarily in this order: Pacific Rim in Ann Arbor, MI; Mr. Friendly's in Cola, SC; Zur Glocke in Trier, Germany; Blaue Gans in NYC; Rays BBQ in Mt. Pleasant, SC; that little hole in the wall in Paris in the 3rd that only Caro knows about (I couldn't find it if I tried and I don't think it has a name!)
My most tattered cookbooks:
See my Go-to dinner party dish above for that one.
