5 nights in NY 40th and 6th

I love food and have a good palate. for the two nights dining alone want good restaurant that is lively within a mile radius of the hotel. I know the choices are endless, so the parameters can be Italian Greek Spanish or good old american.

The other three nights entertainiong on a medium budget so restaurants need to fit the parameter.

colleague is a heathen food wise but loves steak and simpler foods. Italian also works. Must be a place that a food enthusiant like me can also enjoy.

Thanks for any help,

Jeff

Two nights in Manhattan With a Food Heathen

Thanks for Keens.. Any decent Italian thats not too high Brow. personally, i like Esca's but i think that is wasted on him. As long as we arent hampered by snow, we have a couple of mile radius with no problem. I would prefer not a red sauce restaurant like Patsy's but give be a couple of option.

Thanks

Two nights in Manhattan With a Food Heathen

I am going to be in the city for two nights next wednesday and thursday. I am with my boss from the UK who is very difficult to go eat with as he is definitely NOT a foodie.

I need recommendations for Steak/seafood restaurants and Italian restaurants around 40th and 9th so i can appease his ill tastes while still satisfying mine.

Six nights in Toronto

My wife and I will be in town attending a convention. We need to entertain two nights and also need suggestions for two other nights when we are alone.

We are foodies living mow in Las Vegas and prior in Los Angeles, so we want to have experiences that we can only get in Toronto, No chains, no mass produced foods, no revolving touristy places, but great restaurants at fair prices of any variety.

we are staying at the Sheraton near the convention center as a reference point

Your thoughts would be appreciated. We like adventure.

So many restaurants , So little time

Making my first trip back to Manhatan in 4 years and I have two nights, 10/31 and 11/1 to sample a New York only restaurant that will give us great food (NOT RICH) a good wine list and an experience to remember. I live in Vegas after 30 years in LA so I get the pricetag issues. That is not an issue.

Italian, spanish or great seafood always work. We arent snobs so it doesnt have to be white glove. We prefer restaurants where there arent sister restaurants in Vegas or LA so lets rule out Mario Batali type chefs.

look forward to suggestons.
