DU area cheap eats

I am looking for a cheaper meal in the DU area. I would say below $30 for 2 people without alcohol. Jerusalem has been our standard and love it but would like to branch out a bit, maybe. Have also been too Good Times (I believe that is what it is called). Any cuisine, but since we are coming down from the mountains would like to hit the more ethnic side. Any suggestions?

How are The Common Man restaurants in NH

I grew up going to the Comman Man in Ashland. I say don't miss it. It is a great comfortable atmosphere and great comfort food. I never miss a chance to go when I am visiting NH. My mom still goes about once a week and she says she has never been disappointed!

Casper Wy rec's

My hubby just got a job that will take him to Casper Wy five days a week. Anyone recommendations about good places to eat. He is easy to please, just as long as it is good! (he is an ex-chef. He will have a per diem so probably not looking for fine dining. Thanks!

Road Trip on I-80 - SFO to Boulder - where to eat?

Once you get to Boulder, don't miss Chez Thuy. Unbelievable food, reasonable prices (not cheap, I would go with high moderate, but worth the money).

Puritan Back Room, Manchester NH

I have to say that when I told my husband that I had replied to this thread a bit on the negative side, his reply was "are you kidding me? That place is an institution!"
Then he said to recommend the lobster pot pie. So enjoy!

Best food all over New England?

I would have to recommend the Common Man in Ashland, NH. Comfortable, casual, with really good food. It is right off of I-93 about 1hour and 30 minutes north of Nashua. It is in the Lakes Region of NH right near Squam Lake where "On Golden Pond" was filmed. Beautiful area. Worth the trip north. I also have to wonder why Nashua?
You also should visit Portsmouth NH. Lots of rich history there. The bar at the Dolphin Striker in Portsmouth has great comfort food.

Puritan Back Room, Manchester NH

This is my in-laws favorite restaurant. IMHO it is pretty main stream. My Mother in law always orders the broiled scallop bake (which is topped with ritz cracker crumbs). The rest of the family usually gets the broiled chicken tenders teriyaki. Good food but just not really memorable. Consistent at least. I think my husband likes the fried clams.

Lincoln NH - Restaurant & bar recommendation

If it is still there, definately go to the Common Man. Been a while since I have been to Lincoln so I am not sure if it is still around.

ISO Denver Recommendations

There are great places to eat on both the 16st Mall and in Larimar Square, all should be in walking distance from your hotel. Sonada's is a sushi/Japanese restaurant at the end of the mall. Great happy hour discounts on food and drink. The Chop House is a high end steak house next to Coor's Feild. I have not eaten there, but have had drinks at the bar. Atmosphere is good, food is spendy, but it has a great reputation. I'd second Cruise Room, fun place for a martini and appetizer. Also Jax Seafood is in the same area and is a good N'Awlins feeling place. Wynkoop Brewery also good. There is an italian place on the 16th mall, in the Pavillions, that I think is called DeMarco's. Giant portions, good food.
If you get a wild hair and want to go to a good, somewhat unknown jazz club, El Chapultapec is the place. The place looks like a dump, but really smoking (and old) jazz musicians show up and bring down the house. I am not sure if there is a music schedule, but when I went there it was a Thursday evening and music started around 9pm, I think.
Have fun!
