Best Chili? Westchester/Hudson Valley
A.J's does make great chili. Another place to get good chili, believe it or not, is Blue Moon in Bronxville. I can't really recommend it for much else but the Full Moon chili is excellent, really spicy.
Non-Thanksgiving Dinner in Newport
I know that most places that are open are serving a Thanksgiving menu. Does anyone know which places are also serving their regular menu? The Mooring does and I think 22 Bowens does as well but I'm ready for a change from both. Middletown would work too.
Yard House/Ridgehill Shopping Center
Funny, since they also have a Cheesecake Factory there. They're also opening an Elevation Burger and a Havana Central. I've never been to Elevation Burger but I did go to Havana Central on the Upper West Side and I thought it was loud and overpriced.
Wedding reception in Westchester
Have you thought of X20 (Xavier's on the Hudson), in Yonkers? It's on the waterfront, gorgeous view, and the food's supposed to be great. I know someone who had her daughter's Bat Mitzvah there.
Anniversary Gift?
Anniversary Gift??? Every year I give my in-laws a gift certificate for a restaurant in Boca. Because they eat out practically every night, I try to make it some place they haven't been. In the past I've done places like Six Tables and Arturo's but I had read about Bogart's Bar and Grill and wondered if it would be fun to give them the gift of a nThanks!ice dinner and a movie. Is it good? What's the noise level? Is it more of a young crowd or do a lot of seniors go too?

Yonkers diners?
My husband has to take his car to be serviced at a dealer close to the Cross County Shopping Center at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow. Too early to see a movie.....anyone know any diners within walking distance?
City Limits Diner, White Plains
I thought the one in the Westchester Mall had closed?
Anyone Heard Anything About Morgan's in Rye?
Well, I'll take your advice. I haven't tried Rye Grill either. Sounds like I should skip that too.

Greedy owner (again) drives customer away
Tell me where you guys have been eating! I always get charged when I order another soda and I assumed this was the norm.
Lunch in Long Island City?
I live in the Bronx and don't know L.I.C. well. But my husband and I will be in that area today. Can anyone recommend some casual lunch places?
NEWPORT, R.I. (Need a Nice Family Place w/Good Food!))
FYI: The Mooring does have a tradional Thanksgiving Dinner option. And they serve their regular menu too. I've been going for a few years with my family.
Find me a Restaurant in Hastings or Yonkers for 9 People
Except for the fact that it's located in a strip mall (it's right on Central Avenue), Route 100 is very nice. Food is delicious and the menu is varied so there's stuff for your kids.. It might be the kind of place your in laws would like.
Comfort in Hastings? Review of a Mistake
I had a similar experience, although I didn't actually get to to try the food. I'd heard great things about the roast chicken so went there with my family and was completely ignored. They seated us, without menus.. A waitress stood nearby, taking orders by phone, then chatting with a couple at the table next to us. We never even got water. This happened in the winter and I'm pretty sure it was freezing in the restaurant. Anyway, we left.
Chicken Under a Brick
That sounds great. I have plans to go to Ethos tonight (there's one in Great Neck but also a couple in the city). But now I'm wondering if I should head to Nessa instead.
Chicken Under a Brick
I'm craving a really good one. Does anyone have any recommendations in lower Westchester?
Dolphin Restaurant
This place opened on the Yonker's waterfront, where The Pier View used to be. Has anyone tried it?
Tel Aviv and Lola - Great Neck
I'm confused: How can Lola be Kosher if they're open on Saturday night and serving crab cakes?
Good restaurants uptown Bronx?
Jake's is good and the owner is nice but it's really expensive. The food at Madison's, also in Riverdale, is great, but sometimes more than you want to spend. Has anyone tried the new kosher Mexican place on Riverdale Avenue?
Which restaurant has the best bread basket in the westchester area?
That clinches it; I'm going. I heard it was good.
