French dressing on pizza in Biloxi?
What a great "good food conversation".....I just might have to try this soon! I know I can get Kraft French Dressing...but is Catalina even available? I remember pouring Catalina dressing over left over roast beef and sticking it under the broiler. Damn...I am making myself hungry.
Driving From Lynchburg, TN to Asheville, NC -- anything good to eat?
Harriman MAY have been founded on temperance..but we are far from that now! Liquor is served everywhere but McDonalds...just kidding.
If you enjoy Mexican cuisine, I would suggest a couple of "local chains" including Cancun and Los Primos, both off I40 Exit 347. In Rockwood, very close by, Rockwood Grill. In Kingston is RedBones on the River. Full Bar and reasonably priced.
Phyllo Dilema [moved from Kentucky & Tennessee board]
Your major enemy will be humidity. Since we can't predict your environment, you might want to consider making the morning before. After all...how difficult could that really be? Your next option would to be buying locally from a reputable bakery/pastry chef. You tell us you have a dessert truck...that makes me believe YOU are the professional, maybe not.
St. Pete/Gulfport
Any suggestions for Easter Brunch? Smart, Upscale yet still casual?
Knoxville Hamburgers
Let's START with the worst burger in Knoxville. Litton's Hands down have the driest beef concoction this side of the Mississippi....and I meant that in the nicest way. Old timers from Knoxville still believe that Litton's offers good food. Too bad they haven't been outside of their four block perimeter of North Knoxville.
Who has the best....I am still looking. What makes the BEST hamburger...well, that question will remain in the eyes of the beholder. My requirements include a medium juicy burger, a sturdy "kaiser" style bun, a great cheese, and a fresh assortment of trims. Litton's "Wonder Bread" style buns just disintegrate. For a ten dollar burger, I would try Five Guys...and they still aren't in my top ten!
Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel Nashville
NO...in Las Vegas the restaurant is The Capital Grille, which is NOT associated with The Capitol Grille in Nashville. Do I eat at The Capital Grille when in Las Vegas? Of course. Somehow....free food always tastes better. I am comfortable with the quality to meet or EXCEED Morton's of Chicago, etal.
Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel Nashville
Yes...yes...my error!! I was referring to the Capital Grille and have been to many of their locations including Las Vegas, Atlanta, Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale. The Capitol Grill is not connected with The Capital Grille owned by the Darden Corporation.

I love it ALL at Capitol Grille! My favorite location is in Las Vegas....second floor overlooking The Strip! What a view.
Shrimp Dock in Knoxville, TN
Shrimp Dock has a FEW tables and/or picnic benches; would not call it a dining destination. I would call Shrimp Dock a seafood market with a couple of tables. Lunch baskets available Monday-Saturday 11-3 and Sunday 12-3, (Farragut Only).
Knoxville area - looking for Chicago type food.....
You make Anderson County sound like...."I hear banjo music....paddle faster". Annie's Taste is another destination. Been there....too many other choices on the venue.
White Linen Tablecloth Breakfast
What happened to White Linen tablecloth Breakfasts? The last one I can recall was on a cruise ship out of Miami. Are they ANY left in Kentucky or Tennessee?
good regional casual (BBQ, meat & 3) driving from Knoxville to Nashville
Knoxville to Nashville is a three hour drive...so you will have plenty of time to dally. Chandler's in East Knoxville would be a great choice. This might also help!

La Cabriole in Chattanooga - info please!!
http://lacabrioleusa.com/
Friday Saturday Only...other days by special request. Only you know how your six year old would react. This is a seven course dinner and I seriously doubt a six year old could endure the event. Price...will be expensive.
Knoxville area - looking for Chicago type food.....
Pizzeria Uno closed for a very good reason...it WAS NOT that good. Bad restaurants don't exist here and that is a good thing.

Bistro by the Tracks Knoxville
Here's two thumbs up for Bistro by the Tracks...outstanding restaurant.
Botched reservations for BlueBird Cafe for girlfriend's birthday :: Help me ChowHound
My choice would be Fleming Steak on West End followed by the Capitol Grille. Neither have ever disappointed my guests.
Knoxville area - looking for Chicago type food.....
Lum's closed.....years ago!! Entire chain defunct.
Knoxville area - looking for Chicago type food.....
I know you loved Chicago...but the reality is....you are in East Tennessee. That means hog trough buffets, BBQ and the house wine of the south.... aka. SWEET TEA. Best wishes in your new southern dining adventures.
Tampa Bay
Arriving for a Port of Tampa Cruise.....what would be the Number ONE restaurant near the Port for lunch?
Knoxville's best?
Wright's serves lunch only...but are open Thursday evening. I find their NO credit card/NO debit card unbelievable! Food very pedestrian...and with a high CASH ONLY price. Guess you are paying for the grease.
Vegetarian-ish grub for road trip through Knoxville
Puleo's is a fabulous choice...but I sure wouldn't send an out of towner to either of those locations. They are a pain in the neck to get in and out of. ....BUT...I sure would recommend the Puleo's at Strawberry Plains, (I-40, Exit 398). Much easier to navigate, especially if you are moving with a van or trailer! Enjoy your safe trip!

Need recommendation for a restaurant for Thanksgiving in Gatlinburg.
It might be too late since reservations are probably mandatory.....but having said that, I would shoot for The Old Mill in PF or Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg. Good Luck!

Brazeiros - Knoxville
Brazeiros Churrascaria opened September 20, 2010. I will wait a few weeks since a new restaurant in Knoxville will have lines around the building for a while. Let them get the kinks out and see who "sticks" to the wall after the initial hub bub!

Nice Surprise in a "Right Off the Interstate" Wasteland
Any of the Puleo's restaurants are worth the drive. There are four or five in the K'ville area. I particularly enjoy the Fried Green Tomato BLT for lunch. We have more choices than you might know about...but this area is FAR from a wasteland.
Where to find the very best authentic French Croissant in Nashville?
I agree.....personally, if I were a guest in France and they "thought" I might like Americanized food and hauled me to McDonalds...I would be put off. I suggest that you show them everything that Nashville has to offer and the first stop would be Loveless Cafe, Pancake Pantry and even Cracker Barrel. Everyone needs to eat at a Waffle House, at least once.
