i'm laying here in bed sick with a throat cold right now and making a grocery list out some of these awesome nostalgic responces... I'm going to make that burbon lemon rok candy thing and give it out o my family in tincture bottles when I get better (we've all been passing around colds lately)... My mom always gave us Mrs. Grass' too... Flat soda (usually sprite or gingerale), scrambled eggs, toast, and fudgecicles as a treat.

Quinn's is good, and Mission (tequila bar baby!) is great

So the deal with 13 coins is simple... the Seatac one is better.
Looking for affordable in that area try Crow... good simple food with a nice seasonal flare and it's not terrible expensive. A little loud but the bartenders are great and the kitchen staff is super friendly at the food bar... they have a semi private dining area too (seperated by a half wall and curtain) for larger parties....

I agree with the previous poster about Tom Douglas but my all time fave of his is Palace Kitchen, I find the food more inventive and the atmosphere is fun not to mention the drinks are spectacular (especially now that they fixed the singria)...
I'd also recomend Coastal Kitchen for fish though no where near as romantic as some other places in town they change their menu every quarter or so based on a differnet geographic locale.
I also agree with Flora on Madison, great place lots of fun but I don't think it's super romantic. In the same neighborhood I'd say Nishinos for sushi or the Madison Park Cafe for a SUPER romantic little place..

Ok, so I am a culinary student and I don't know how to do this so hopefully someone out there will.

I really love beef tongue and have enjoyed it since I was a kid. I am planning on smoking this one I just got and i know how to brine it, poach it, skin it and smoke it but I don't have any idea how to clean it...
I know that after you peel the skin your supposed to remove the glands so I got rid of these big fatty things that ran on both sides of the underside of the tongue... are those the glands? is that all I have to do before I smoke it?! please help!
