All u can eat Maine Lobster, Nooksack

For all three of the remaining Thursdays in August, the Nooksack River Casino is having all you can eat Lobster for $34.95.

Last time they had this (two years ago), I went twice and went for ten lobsters one time and eight the other. The lobsters were prepared simply and perfectly.

This is part of their buffet, unfortunately, even if you wanted to eat something else, virtually nothing else on the buffet was edible. They even ruined their potatoes.

Hopefully they have gotten better on the other stuff (they have advertised an upgrade).

The casino is about 20 miles east of Bellingham on the Mt. Baker Highway. Lobster feed starts at 4 p.m.

p.s. FDA says to avoid the ''tamali', the green stuff on the inside.

Looking to have perhaps two tables of ten each. Anyone have a suggestion for a moderate but delicious restaurant?

Uncle Flip's (what the?)

Dive Fan.. the first time in a bbq joint (and every time for me) one should always order their Q with the sauce on the side. no one know's how much or how little sauce you like.
also, asking for your meats naked is a deterrent to a place giving you old and dried out meat covered in goo. Good Q of any kind should be able to stand on its own and only be complimented by its condiments.

Ultimate poll

1. Dinah's (for a well done, extra cinnamon Apple Pancake.)
2. Midori (3 valley locations to satiate your sushi craving with made to order all you can eat sushi that is by the far the best AYCE sushi in town.
3. Mu Dung San AYCE korean bbq that will spike your cholestrol at least 20 pts by the time you have overeaten yourself to satiation. p.s. the spareribs are different but good and the duck is to be avoided.
4. Canters- not for the deli, but the bakery up front where you can get the best grande custard filled eclair in town 24/7.
5. Vito's pizza- a great slice from people so nice. first time chowhounders can mention chowhound and get a free slice.

for me, the food is 97.5% and everything else is 2.5%

Peking Duck: where in Richmond, Surrey, Vancouver?

Four of us coming north from Bellingham, for some real Chinese food. Want a great Duck, but also a wonderful Dungeness dish would be good too. Any specials going on? Several years back (when Canadian dollar was about 66 cents) we had $10 peking duck at the Richmond Floata which was great. I guess that Floata is gone (the restaurant had gone bad the last couple of times we were there).

We are thinking of catching a flick at Riverport, so we can go any direction not that far from there.

Thanks all
