Yuengling anywhere?
One of the best things about leaving Texas is going some place that sells Yuengling and bringing back a few cases. As much as I enjoy it, I think I enjoy it more when I can instead of whenever I want it.
New Delhi, Jaipur, Agra suggestions
I do not care how hot or freshly prepared the food is, if the person preparing it touches it with their hands after handling money, I'm going to be a little apprehensive about eating it. YMMV.
I am a foreign national living in Delhi for the past several months and am very fond of United Coffee House in Connaught Place. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the city and the decor reflects that. I cannot speak to the Veg menu, but I absolutley love their Chicken Mappas and Hyderabad Keema. Not as cheap as a street vendor, but the portions were big enough that I had enough left over for lunch the next day.
Dallas to Austin Road Food
If you're going to Taylor, a stop at The Taylor Cafe is mandatory. IMO, better sausage than LMBBQ. Another vote for exploring small town Texas on Hwy 95.
Taqueria El Fuego closed for good?
Awful news. I was looking forward to some tacos for breakfast tomorrow.
Uptown (Riverbend/Carrolton area) best restaurants
Another vote for Refuel. Hearty stick to your ribs breakfast in an easy going atmosphere.
[DFW] Best Mom and Pop/Hole in The Wall Ethnic Places [DFW]
Tony's cafe - NW corner of spring creek & alma in Plano. Great breakfast, especially unique breakfast tacos and baklava.
In-N-Out Burger
Or from those of us who think that In-N-Out is good, and also exceeds the bang to hype ratio.
Edit, this was supposed to be in response to the "diehard Whataburger fans" post.
Central Texas BBQ coming to Dallas' Oak Cliff.
I had lunch there on Monday, got brisket ribs and jalapeno sausage. The brisket looked dry but was moist, tender and seasoned perfectly. Ribs should have still been in the smoker, lots of un-rendered fat and little smoke flavor. Jalapeno sausage was not very spicy. Will definitely give it another go.
Looking for good CHILI in Dallas area
JC's Burger House at Preston & 121 has pretty decent chili. I'll add another vote for the chili at Chili's.

Burger House
6248 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75214
Fried Burritos
There's an Allsups on 380 in Princeton. Not any closer than Sachse, but if yer up that way...
Hillcountry Style BBQ in Dallas area
Another vote for Baker's on Greenville. Also try The Make It In Your Backyard Smoker. A little internet research and it's pretty easy to make brisket better than anything you can buy locally.
Looking for a really good "greasy-hole-in-the-wall" chinese take out restaurant in the dallas area
Eggroll Express, just west of Spring Valley and Coit. It's a dump but produces fairly decent fair that "isn't really Chinese food."
Beer and Food
Also in The shops at Legacy is Ringo's Pub. It's across the street from Robb & Stucky's loading dock.
Tex-Mex for a reluctant skeptic
Care to elborate? We go once a week. It's clean, the service is always great, food well prepared.
I'm looking for a butcher shop / meat market (not a grocer or restaurant).
another vote for Hirsch's. I grilled some Iowa cut pork chops from them last night. Very tender, even though I cooked them a minute too long.
Babe's Chicken Dinner House (again), This Time Frisco. vs. Garland
I like the 70s strip mall ambiance of Garland.
Quality Hardwood Charcoal
I bought a bag of Kingsford lump at Market Street in Plano. Burned nice and hot, not too many sparks while in the chimney starter. Solidly average.
Babe's Roanoke worth the drive?
I've been to the Garland, Frisco, & Carrollton locations and I like the vibe in Garland best. The strip mall setting adds a nice touch.
Tex-Mex for a reluctant skeptic
Another vote for chuy's. I love the green chile sauce.
Fuzzy's
Not at all impressed with a burrito at the denton location. None the less, it served it's desired purpose of absorbing a copious amount of alcohol consumed during a rock show at Dan's.
BBQ North Dallas - 635 and 75 area
X2 for Bone Daddy's. The food may suck but the scenery more than compensates.
Meat & Threes?
the best thing about meat n threes is that mac and cheese is considered a vegetable.
Plano/Richardson Italian Recommendations
Aboca's - SW corner of Belt Line & Central in Richardson. It's BYOB but the food is very good.
Advice for Louie Mueller's & Taylor Cafe
Thursday I'm driving from Dallas to Austin for an overnight trip and would like to eat my lunches in Taylor. Can anyone advise the best time of day to show up at either of these places? Any feedback is appreciated.
Urban Crust - Plano
We ate there last night. Caprese to start followed by a pie with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, & garlic. I would of liked the Caprese better if fresh cracked pepper had been provided. Pizza tasted good, especially the crust which was not crispy, although a few more tomatoes would have been nice.
Hatch Peppers
I can't add to the conversation about growing in DFW. I will say that in addition to CM & MS, Sprouts is currently selling roasted and fresh chiles as has Chuy's in the past.
Taco joint in Dallas
I had two breakfast tacos @ the Taco joint recently - chorizo, potato & egg. Very good. Be warned, the line can be out the door so be prepared for a wait. Also, they only serve brisket tacos during lunch on Tuesdays.
