Just had an amazing brunch at Tupelo. The gumbo was the best I have had since i was in the big Easy- Anyone else have a great gumbo? DC had chicken fried steak with cheese grits and bisquits and sausage gravy, cholestoral heaven.Oyster Po Boys and Petsy pies-yum!

New Pizza/sandwich place
Stopped in at the Garden of eat-in today.2378 Mass ave,Cambridge next to Quindoa.
The people were so nice. The woman who owns it brought us over some pizza to try along with our order. The pizza was delicious-thin crust, but not paper thin.I will definately order it again. We got lime rickeys,coffee and italian Panini. The bread was delish,and the fillings were out of this world. bought a gift certificate for my kids.They are on line at www.

Allergy friendly restaurants
Fresh choice in framingham has great family friendly food and has signs posted that say "please tell us if anyone in your party have a food allergy" They cook all to order.Very nice woman cooking yesterday. The beet salad looked spectacular.

I heard Petsi pies does the baked goods for Porter Square books,but who does those spring rolls????
Six Burner just opened
Went there for lunch,sat at table in bar and froze whenever anyone opened either of the doors. Chicken pie spring rolls were crispy and tasted just like chicken pie. Meatloaf and potatoes were good,but addition of pumpernickle bread on bottom was just soggy.They were out of pot roast,fried chicken salad was good but corn bread croutons were way to sweet. Service was done by a very funny fellow, you had to forgive him for his mistakes. i went for comfort food and got just that. Owner came out to apologize for the Pot Roast not being ready.

They are open 10-10 except Mondays they are closed! Joe from Tutto Italiano is running it.Sure will miss his sandwiches though.

Sevans in Watertown has an unbelievable group of baked wraps one with cheese,tomato,and salami like meat for 2.95-you will have enough left over for their desserts!

I cook for a womans shelter once a month and need some recipes for 15. They asked for seafood next, and I need to cook and carry it, and keep price down since I must buy all ingredients. I have been doing Turkeys,pot roasts, and lasagnas.
