Anything good at Yonge/Sheppard?

Theres also a decent/cheapish sushi place by Bathurst and Sheppard called Wakame Sushi that does deliver. And if you don't mind heading a bit south Burger Priest is a few minutes away.

Anything good at Yonge/Sheppard?

I think most of the restaurants in the area are chains so unless you're into that sort of thing there aren't too many options. Bombay Bhel has decent Indian food although it is a bit expensive. I've never liked Shawarma Max. Ajisen Ramen is good too. Further up on Yonge closer to Yonge and Finch is an Iranian plaza that serves some really excellent kababs. While they're all pretty much the same I'd reccomend Altona Kebab which seems to have the freshest and bes quality meat.

Shawarma @ Yonge North York Centre

Shawarma Max isn't too bad but there are a few other places in the area that serve pretty good food. Altona Kabab further up north just after Yonge and Finch has good food. If you want to eat Asian food there's Ajisen Ramen and the Owl of Minerva around there too.

Anyone been to Goa recently? Need some restaurant recommendations for 2010!

Fiesta has some really good food. Fiesta is in the same lane as Tito's if Im not mistaken.
Brittos is good too and is a little further down. O'Coquiero is a little far off and has good food and is where Charles Shobraj was caught by the police.

Here is a really good link with some solid suggestions

Pizza in Mumbai

Yea, you can't expect to find anything other than mozarella and cheddar at regular stores in Mumbai. I guess there isn't enough demand for it considering the fact that most people aren't that exposed to it. If you do try these pizza places, let us know what you think.

@ Howler - Trust me, I know the feeling.

I have never eaten at the Ripon Club. Is it good? I havent been to RTI lately either. Their patties were always good and very very reasonably priced. Another option for similar paties is J Hearsche bakery in Bandra. Good stuff. Does'nt really have the charm of RTI but is still good.

Mumbai (Bombay) restaurant suggestions? [Moved from International board]

I dont think you can get into the Willingdon Club or Bombay Gymkhana without a member to sign you in.

Pizza in Mumbai

I guess every city has to have a good pizza place. Mumbai has a few too.

1. Don Giovanni in Juhu(undergoing a renovation) and Worli has some really good pizza. Its not as crisp as some of the other pizzas out there but definitly worth trying. I reccomend their Pizza Ai Salami which has four kinds of salami and lots of cheese.

2. Indigo Deli in Colaba has a really good paper thin pizza. The crust is nice and crisp if thats something you like. I dont think they have a fixed menu and serve up a weekly special salami on their pizzas.

3. Pizzeria at Marine Drive/Powai and Versova has more "consumer" pizza and they deliver. The quality is dipping to be honest though its still the best pizza delivery. Their pizza has an Indian twist to it and I guess some people who dont enjoy authentic pizza may like Pizzeria more.

Mangi Ferra in Juhu has a woodfired pizza oven but their Pizza is crap. Not authentic at all. Also worth mentioning is the coffee shop at the ITC Grand Maratha where I have had a decent pizza. Open 24 hours quite good if you get the munchies in the middle of the night

Parsi and Irani recs. in Bombay...

I guess this reply is pretty much useless but just in case anyone needs to know

1.Paradise is one of my favourite restaurants. Its towards the end of Colaba Causeway and has some great Parsi food. Their cold chicken salad, chicken steak, sali chicken or mutton and dhansak are really popular.

2. Brittania at Ballard Estate is another nice place to go to though they are open only for lunch. Their chicken berry pulao is really good with the berries flown in from Iran. Make sure you get a bottle of Pallonji's to wash the food down.

There arent too many irani cafes left in Mumbai and I havent been to one that I really loved. A lot of people talk highly of Jimmy Boy but I was quite dissapointed when I went there.
