Bundt cake store?
A while ago I thought I read about a bundt cake store opening in la. Am I crazy, or does one exist that only does bundt cakes?
Manhattan Beach breakfast for 30 people
I'm trying to get a breakfast for 30 people in Manhattan Beach or the vicinity. Can you recommend a spot that can accomodate a group of that size? Quality isn't as much of an issue...
Boba near Marina Del Rey?
Where can I get boba near Marina Del Rey? If not Marina Del Rey, then north of it.

Birthday catering idea--food we had when we were young
My wife's birthday is coming up and I had an idea of reminding her of her youth by taking her to places with food we had as kids--ie hot dogs, fun desserts, etc--but with an adult palate (ie, mac n' cheese with Lobster). Any suggestions? Doesn't have to be one place. Here's what I came up with:
Luna Park
Ketchup (they have sloppy joes)
Pink's
Simon LA -- for their desserts
Violet--for mac n' cheese (unless you can think of a place that has better mac n' cheese
Melting Spot -- grilled cheese sandwhiches
Sprinkles/Yummies--cupcakes
Any other ideas?
food events in San Diego
Are there any good food events in San Diego that get a collection of restaurants and give a sense of the culinary scene? I know there's Taste of the Nation in April and Food and Wine Festival in November... any other one's I'm missing??
no Piknic (Playa Vista)
I live in Playa Vista and it is a bit pricy, but they make great salads and lighter meals, including breakfast. Definitely worth a trip if you work nearby for their salmon/spinach salad.
Where can I get mochi balls?
Is there a place to buy the mochi balls they have at Pinkberrys? I assume a Japanese market but figured it was worth asking.
Sunset Beach?
What's the deal with Sunset Beach on Sunset? I heard it opened only recently but drove by yesterday and it was closed.
Restaurant week--what's the appeal?
So I've read plenty of reviews of SDRW restaurants and I'm still confused aobut its appeal. You're limited in your dinner options and how much is a three course meal that costs $40 without drinks going to cost anyway?? $45? $50? Can anyone toss me a bone here?
Help in San Diego... need young, hip restaurant
Any places other than Osetra that stick out in that area?
Help in San Diego... need young, hip restaurant
Can anyone recommend a restaurant with a "scene", but still a quality restaurant?
Restaurant closings??
Did Tangerine on Sunset close? What about Table 8 on Melrose? Table 8 seemed to have all the hype and support a few years back... anyone know what happened?
BBQ fairs
Does LA have something similar to what you would find in the South in terms of a BBQ festival, where local pit masters compete and the public can sample what they offer?
Huntington Beach Restaurant for 30 people?
Any recommendations for a group of 30 to go to in HB on a Saturday?
