Walked by it on my way home - no sign out front or name on it, but looks like a really nice spot in a building that has been redone to a dark new front. Anyone know what it is?

I'm looking for a birthday present for my foodie dad. I think he'd really enjoy dinner at a good chef's table, a great tasting room menu (wine really not the most important factor - the food is key), or other great foodie gift for next time he comes to visit in DC. Any suggestions? Thanks!
30th birthday dinner recommendation
hey there,
going to dinner for my 30th this week with close friends (just 6 of us total). I'd love a really nice dining experience with great food in a nice but not stuffy environment. a few options on the table that i'd love feedback on:
Blue Duck (I've been before and think it's lovely but doesn't blow my mind - thoughts?)
Restaurant Eve (never been and heard it's great?)
Ceiba (more fun and festive although slightly less amazing food than others in this list, right?)
Komi (is it outrageously expensive and worth it?)
Other suggestions?

how to create a family cookbook?
hey there,
i'd like to create a family cookbook, ideally using scans of the recipes in their original handwriting (as opposed to typing out the recipes), pictures, quotes, etc. Does anyone have a good suggestion of how to do this? computer program? printed a kinkos? anyone tried the Blurb BookSmart program?
