Restaurants with low-fat options?

Thank you so much for all your ideas! I actually live in Hong Kong and was going to suggest Asian cuisines to her as well, but thank you for all the specific recommendations. I know I said both nonfat and low-fat...Her doctor told her to aim for nonfat but I just wasn't sure if that's possible, so I thought I'd post both. Thank you again!

Restaurants with low-fat options?

Hi,

My sister lives in San Francisco and has just been put on a strict nonfat diet for a medical condition. I am hoping to find some good restaurants where she might be able to eat! Please let me know if you have any ideas--even places where the chefs may be accommodating would be helpful.

Many, many thanks!

Best Italian in Hong Kong?

Excellent Local Food in Taipei?

Hello,

I will be in Taipei tonight only and would love a recommendation for a great local restaurant. I'm not a Chinese speaker, so it would be helpful if it's not too hard to locate.

Many thanks!

Macau for Dinner

Hi!

Does anyone have a suggestion for dinner in Macau? I'm going for one night only (tomorrow), so just need a good spot for an earlyish dinner.

Thanks, and Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Singapore Hawker Centers - need recs

Tekka Centre! Tekka Centre! I was there in October and had delicious masala tea and banana roti. Yum--I still crave both and think I will for a long time to come.

Also had good carrot cake at Newtown Circus, and, though not a hawker center but a restaurant, Song of India has delicious Indian food. I highly recommend!

Have fun!

Saigon and Siem Reap--any favorites?

Hi,

I'm headed to Saigon for 5 days and Siem Reap for 4--any suggestions? I'll be in Saigon for New Year's Eve as well as for my father-in-law's 60th birthday, so would love any ideas about where to go for both of those events. Let me know where I should go to splurge and where to go not to.

Thanks!!

My Favorites in Hong Kong (would like to hear yours too)

Great recs!! I live in Hong Kong and of those on your list that I've been to, I totally agree. I'd add Aqua for the pizza + sushi + view.

Hong Kong

Hello,

Yung Kee on Wellington has the thousand-year-old eggs.

Where to eat in Macau?

Fernando's! Really good and kind of a cool spot--a little out of the way though.

Good Indian Food In Hong Kong?

wow--great--thank you! We actually ended up going to a place in Kowloon: Gaylord restaurant...
It was really good, if a little oily. Only Indian people besides us though, so always a good sign. Thanks for your response--I'll add it to my list of places to try.

Good Indian Food In Hong Kong?

Hi!

Can anyone recommend a good upscale Indian restaurant in Hong Kong (including Kowloon)? Thanks!

Help me choose a cold cereal!

I second Kashi GoLean Crunch and Barbara's Puffins! MMMmm...the best.

Restaurants Near Detroit Airport

Probably! I went to school in Ann Arbor and am racking my brain for something close to the airport. Nada. I think you either have to hit Detroit or have something in Ann Arbor. Sorry!!

Manhattan Neighborhood Italian Gems

Pisticci -- up by Columbia: my favorite: so delicious and simple
ino -- West Village (though that's solely panini)
Malatesta--West Village, delicious food, so authentic (service not so great)
Lupa--W Village
Acqua - UWS; they do a pretty great brick-oven pizza
Il Buco--on Bond St. (love the atmosphere and the food)

Moving to Hong Kong!

Moving to Hong Kong!

Hello,

I am moving to Hong Kong next month and am curious about restaurants people might recommend besides those found in the guide books (Hutong, Felix at the Peninsula, etc.). Open to any and all suggestions--can't wait to start eating out in HK!

Provincetown Lobster Roll--help!

Great--thank you so much--this has been driving me crazy. Do you know what that mall is called?

Provincetown Lobster Roll--help!

Hi,

I was in Provincetown two years ago and had a delicious lobster roll at an outpost of a restaurant with an interesting name. I don't know if it was Clem and Ursie's...I don't think so for some reason. The outpost was in an open-type "mall" or market where you could buy your food at the stand (there were other shops and restaurants around) and take it out to a picnic table looking out over the water. I know this is vague but you Chowhound foodies are experts! Maybe someone will know the name? Many thanks!!

Detroit's Greektown-any suggestions?

Thank you all!! Gotta love Chowhound.
I'll definitely let you know where we end up going.

Detroit's Greektown-any suggestions?

Hello!
I will be in Greektown for a wedding in June and would love any suggestions for places to go for lunch on a Saturday. Or even outside Greektown, if there are any must-go-to places nearby. Thanks!!

Mesa Grill

Love Mesa Grill! I'm a big Bobby Flay fan: think everything is consistently delicious. And don't forget the margaritas...

Jury Duty!! Where to eat...?

Hi,

I'll be down on Center Street all week, so I would LOVE some suggestions for good eats nearby. Nothing fancy: banh mi sandwiches? And just about anything else except hot dogs? Thanks!!

Hi,

I need a nice and comfy cafe to read and write in that has good tea and isn't a Starbuck's. Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks!

Txocoli in NYC?

Buenas! I have just returned from my honeymoon in Spain, where I had the pleasure of discovering txocoli. Owing to a flat tire and a regional holiday, I wasn't able to go to the liquor store and stock up before coming home, and now I'm parched for it. Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to buy some?! And if not a store, then a restaurant where my husband and I can make ourselves regulars? Gracias in advance!
