Trattoria Trecolori - lunch prior to a Saturday matinee at Lunt Fontanne?

I've gone to Trattoria Trecolori, the food is solid and the service is good. Excellent choice for pre-theater. IMO.

Kimpton Hotels $35 dinner

We will be in DC for Thanksgiving Day weekend, staying at the Rouge Hotel. I was informed that several of the Kimpton Hotels in DC will be serving $35 3 course dinners, are they worth reserving?

One day in London

I have a long layover in London, planning to visit the British Museum and hopefully have an excellent meal before i head to the airport. Please recommend a restaurant near the museum, which will provide a memorable late day lunch.

Black Shack Burger

Black Shack is my neighborhood go-to when I'm in the mood for a burger. Better than any diner, probably better than Shake Shack, and certainly cheaper than most restaurant burgers. Also, never a line!

Anniversary dinner in Paris

My husband and I will celebrate our first wedding anniversary in Paris in May. I would like to do something special, but he is a fussy eater. No fish/seafood, will eat meat and poultry, pretty limited to steak frites and duck a la orange Please recommended a spot that will provide the celebratory vibe I seek and give him the "safe" options. We are staying in the 1st on rue St. Therese.

Best restaurant view of Golden Gate Bridge fireworks

By chance, I will be in San Francisco during the Memorial Day weekend. I understand that there will be fireworks for the Golden Gate Bridge anniversary, can someone recommend a good viewing spot from a restaurant? TIA!

An early morning breakfast joint in Gramercy?

If Sunburst Cafe is open that early, it would be a good choice. located on 3rd Ave/18 St, good variety of breakfast items. Excellent coffee.

Where to eat after getting a marriage license

I expect it would be a late lunch event, since the office closes at 3PM. and since this is such a special day for us, there is no price point. Sometime mid April we will get the license.

Where to eat after getting a marriage license

We'll be going down to the City Clerk's office soon to apply for our marriage license. Since this is a special day, please recommend a place to have a romantic celebratory meal within walking distance.

Need a spot for a Friday night Meet-Up

I usually attend a weekly Meet-Up and we are seeking a nice, not too noisey spot for approx 8-12 people. We usually drink, some like to have a meal or snack. Cuisine is open, but should not be pricey. Murray Hill/Gramercy or further south is fine. Meet-Up is scheduled between 8-11 PM.
TIA if you have any suggestions

Lunch Options near 18th & Pk Ave. South

I like Pita Joe, 14th, just west of 5th Ave. Try the red lentil soup, it is outstanding. If you join their frequent buyer club, you'll get a free item after 10 purchases. Also, for soup/sandwiches, try Sunburst Cafe, corner of 18th/3rd Ave. They also make a fine Eggs Benedict, yummy desserts and coffee.

Spekulatius cookies!

Food Emporium/Union Square had a Christmas clearance area with some a couple of weeks ago. Hope you can still find them.

going to vegas, looking for recommendations?

Have you considered Rosemary's for lunch? You can print a coupon for a $23 3 course special (all the items are off the regular menu) and get a nice representation of the cuisine. I was there on Mondy (my first time) and enjoyed the food very much. Wait staff are professional and unobtrusive, something I did not expect from a "local" restaurant.

I always love to try local frozen treats when Iam on vacation, so I would like to find some treats in Vegas. Can anyone recommend good ice cream or gelato spots on or near the Strip?

French Romantic Birthday Dinner in NYC?

August on Bleeker is wonderful rustic french country. They have a romantic back room, cozy. I loved the onion tart and the shot ribs. Hinting to my BF that my birthday dinner should be there...

New 2nd Avenue Deli

I have done take out, mainly because standing on a line with over 20 people is not my idea of a good time. The Matzoh ball soup was variable, once like dishwater, another too salty. Chopped liver was eh, not as good as the old days. For the prices they are charging ($15+ for a quart of soup!) everything should be exceptional. I'll only go when the urge hits, since I live a block away.

Turkish Kitchen vs. Ali Baba vs. Ethos

If you would be willing to do Morrocan, Barbere on 36th Street between Madison and Fifth is close to the Williams Club. Food was good, and they had a nice assortment of apps.

Saw some work being done on a new storefront on 34th Street, just west of Lexington Ave. Signage indicated Pizza Mercato, but no opening date. Anyone have more info?

Resta-rant lunch at 11 Madison Park

Hoping for a new dining experience, my co-worker and I decided to try 11 Mad Park during RW. Unfortunately, the experience was less than thrilling.

1. Room was like an ice box..had to get my coat to sit past the first course.
2. Time between courses was over half an hour. Don't they have the menu choices set up in the kitchen? 40 minutes to get a cold appetizer is absurd.
3. What's with the Pinot Noir Juice? Yes, grape juice for $7/glass!

I figured the dishes would be smaller than usual, more like samplings, than full course portions. But the time in between courses was inexcusable, it seems like the kitchen was on slow motion. The whole room was being served at the same snail's pace, so it was pointless to complain...

BTW, my braised lamb was delicious.

1st Ave around 17th street - where to eat?

Second and 19th has a good Italian...can't recall the name.
Posto for thin crust pizza on Second and 18th. Better than most.
Third Avenue and Irving Place have more of a selection:
Rolf's (German) on 22nd and Third
Molly's for burgers
Pasta place corner of 22/Third
Pete's Tavern 18th and Irving
Friend of a Farmer 19th/20th and Irving

Looking for a restaurant/diner with room for 20+

My group generally meets twice a month, usually on a Sunday. I'm looking for a space where we can all meet and socialize, maybe conduct some group business, and receive separate checks. Good food would be an added bonus!
Midtown (preferred, but not essential) near a subway stop would be ideal!
