Bridal Shower, San Fran

Looking for a spot open on Fridays around 3pm to hold a bridal shower for 10-15 people.
Could be a spot where we just make reservations for a large group, but would hope for somewhere where we can have a bit of space to decorate/do gifts/etc...
Price needs to be pretty reasonable and should serve beer/wine...
Everyone is coming in from out of town and stayin the Nob Hill area so somewhere around there would be great. Have found a lot of spots are either super expensive $35+ pp for just apps and no drinks, or not open at all around 3-5pm...

Worthwhile dining near USC????

Haven't been there yet but Provecho on Spring just south of Wilshire just opened - might be interesting to try.

More Places Like Joan's on Third & Clementine?

I fell of love with Lemonade on Beverly for a while because I got tired of the side salads (seemed a little overly oily to me to have too frequently) but went again today and had a great sandwich and side of rice. Totally redeemed itself to me.
I also like Cuvee on Robertson for their side salads and sandwiches- the angel hair pasta with mushrooms is especially good heated up.

Patty Melt The Best ?

They don't have it every day - but Ed's on Robertson has a pretty good classic, greasy, patty melt. You'll need a coronary after you're done though from all the fatty meat, cheese, and onions.

NICE RESTAURANT WITH FOOTBALL GAME ON

I'm hoping to take advantage of the OpenTable Appetite Stimulous deal this week (tonight in fact) - but my boyfriend requires that he be able to watch the Football game whereever we eat.

Anyone know if any of the restaurants on the list have TVs (possibly at the bar area) where they might be showing the game?

Looking to eat in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Culver City area, 2 people, around 7pm.

Type of food isn't important - just a nice spot on the OpenTable list (see below) with the football game on...

If all else fails I suppose I could stop being lazy and just call around too...

Thanks!!!!

One year anniversary dinner

Seems like my boyfriend and I find ourselves at Tower Bar for every event - good food, great service, and the ambiance is probably its best asset.

Swanky, classic, and romantic.

Dinner with Inlaws - Great Service and Scene.

Tried Booking at the Mozzas but they were booked up until 10pm - eek! I've taken my own parents to the Grill on the Alley - they liked it, but I'd like them (and myself) to try something new...

Maybe I'll try Pane e Vino... Its close to home and it looks pretty good and not over the top expensive (like Maestros or Spago or such...)

would love to go to hatfields but the price worries me....

Yeah I just looked into lucques and the prix fixe probably wont work. I'd worry about Jar too - if it really is quite loud.
I'm becoming less worried about the celebs as time goes on - I suppose I'm realizing that Id rather everyone have an amazing meal and good conversation, than see Al Pacino or the likes.

Thanks!!! I'll look into Jar - it had been in the back of my mind this morning as a potential place. I've always wanted to try Lucques but im afraid, unless your from LA and have heard all the buzz about it, it won't seem so 'happening' to my celeb-stalking mother in law.

Dinner with Inlaws - Great Service and Scene.

How does it compare to, say, Comme Ca? I went there for my anniversary this year (mistake) and it was SO loud and the tables were SO crammed together that we felt like we were sitting with the people next to us. Granted - the service was GREAT - but the overall ambiance killed it for us.

Dinner with Inlaws - Great Service and Scene.

I'm arranging a dinner with my parents, who are visiting from out of town, and my in-laws (also from out of town)

My in-laws are incredibly, incredibly, picky about service and atmosphere. If its too loud of a restaurant, and they arn't being attented to, my father in law will have a miserable time - no matter how good the food might be.

My mother in law on the other hand really wants to go somewhere with a really 'happening' scene - I'm assuming she is looking to see some celebrities.

My Parents are treating my inlaws, and my significant other and myself, to this dinner so i dont want anywhere over the top expensive - just somewhere pretty nice, with good service, and the potential to see some famous faces.

I know its a lot of requirements - but any ideas? I've been thinking possibly Koi? or Nonna on Sunset?....

Details:
Neighborhood: Beverly Hills/West Hollywood
Price Range: $$$ (out of four)
Total Pppl: 6
Dining on: Sunday (time will depend on whats available)
Type of Food: Open to anything with good service and a 'scene'

Thanks!!!
