Indian Grocery store in lower NE/Cheltenham area?

I'm looking for things like the jarred pickles and bagged snacks and I'm hoping to avoid going out to West Philly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Top Chef Boston – Ep. #8 – 12/10/14 (spoilers)

I was really bothered that Padma dumped all that food in the grocery store. I found it wasteful and disrespectful.

Meh-rigold kitchen & Brauhaus Schmitz

I have never understood why people seem to like Brauhaus Schmitz. The food is just ok. It is often really loud and has a frat-type vibe, at least the times I've been there.

Philly Mag Top 50 Restaurants...

Thanks, Chin. I was starting to think I was the only one who didn't "get" Brauhaus Schmitz. Not just in the inclusion in this list. Overall. The food and service disappointed. It has more of a bar/club atmosphere, at least in the evenings. Glad to see I'm not alone.

Post-Funeral Gathering in Philadelphia - Help Please!

I'd recommend The Kitchen Bar.

It is a straight shot up 611 (Broad St.) a little farther than Marco Polo's. It looks like they have private rooms available. I went after a funeral in the same area, mix of ages/tastes and everyone was happy with the meal. I would check to see if the entrance has a ramp, I do remember some steps to get in.

Brauhauss Schmitz: Philly

I ate there last night. I'm in no great rush to go back. I thought the prices were a bit too high for that type of place. I had the goulash soup which was just odd. It had some very pronounced seasonings that overwhelmed the dish. My husband had the Goulash over spaetzle and I preferred his dish. It was more balanced. i also had the smoked trout salad which was just ok. It was loaded with smoked trout, but the salad itself needed some zing.

We got there aroung 6:30 and it was busy, but not overly noisy. I know some have complained about the noise, so perhaps an early dinner is a better option here.

Where is the Best Brunch in CC Philadelphia?

Do they have a dress code? Or, how do people dress for brunch at LaCroix?
