Port Authority Bus Terminal area (8th Ave/ 40th St) - breakfast place / lounge
Oh oh, absolutely no recommendations?
Any help would be genuinely appreciated.
If the food intolerance issues are preventing you from posting, please disregard these. (We are quite adept at working around them.)
Thank-you again,
Susan
Port Authority Bus Terminal area (8th Ave/ 40th St) - breakfast place / lounge
We will be arriving at ~ 7:30AM on a Monday at the PABT, after which will have a 4-hour wait until the embarkation process for our cruise begins (711 12th Ave pier). I would definitely prefer to pass the time at a restaurant/ hotel lounge outside the PABT.
However, we will not be the most mobile - i.e. weighed down by a 31" suitcase and knapsack each. As much as possible we are trying to avoid multiple cab rides - not for the fare but to save my travelling companion's back in loading/unloading the luggage. (The drivers often won't help; not even for a proper gratuity.)
Would you have any recommendations in a max 1.5 block radius? The establishment should not mind if we linger for a few hours.
Another constraint we have is food intolerances - i.e. especially gluten (but also lactose) - hence, no bread or similar grain derived simple carbohydrates. Processed foods are therefore off limits.
We do best with restaurants that use fresh, healthy ingredients - i.e. the closer to the source, the better.
Thanks for all your help!!!
Miami/ South Beach gluten & lactose free options
Any recommendations for gluten & lactose free dining options (breakfast, lunch & dinner) in the Miami Beach, specifically South Beach, area would be appreciated. Mid-range is fine. We are more concerned with healthy, quality food rather than anything fancy. Many thanks, Susan

Would you by any chance have a similar list of restaurant recommendations (re gluten & dairy intolerances) for the Miami/ South Beach area?
Thank-you in advance for your help.
