I'm visiting New York for 5 days. I have reservations at Corton, Le Bernardin, thinking of Joel Robuchon's and Momofuku. Please recommend 5 more places I should visit. Thank you.

does everyone really think DTF is really that great? I've been there on several occasions and find that aside from the XLB's everything else is just mediocre and lacks good seasoning. On one occasion I sat upstairs, and upon ordering my food came out in less than five minutes, luke warm.

Arcadia restaurants other than Din Tai Fung
I ate there yesterday as I was in the area. It's really not good. "The food has no personality," as one of my friends commented and, I agree. No flavor.
Who has the best wasabi in LA?
The one time i ate at Nozawa, the wasabi was green and runny... the one thing it did not taste like was real wasabi.
No more Hebrew National Kosher Hot Dogs at Costco Food Court [moved from Los Angeles board]
When i think of Costco, I think of the Hot dog I'll stuff myself with after the shopping is done. Another one bites the dust.
I guess Triumphal Palace has finally(!) bit the dust
wow that's kind of sad. Though i haven't been there for some time now, when they first opened, the dim sum was very good and they had a lot interesting dishes others didn't have. I heard the original chef left, so things must have gone downhill from there.

Nicole, thanks for the "heads up." I really want to believe with all the prestige of a Michelin star, that the restaurants they name truly deserve the recognition. I'm kind of wondering about their L.A. list though...
