PF Chang's --what's it like?

If you must, PF Changs is good. Although the tastes found in most Thai restaurants are more satisfying and healthy. It is really the way to go.

Home Thai curries?

Sorry, I was just generally speaking. You are correct that "jungle curry" does not contain coconut milk as it derives from the north jungles of Thailand where coconuts are not as present.

Home Thai curries?

Indian curries are generally yogurt based while Thai curries are coconut based. You can use Curry paste to make different meals but a Thai Curry always contains coconut milk. Do you know the brand of Coconut milk that does not contain preservatives?

Thai Martinis?

The real reason fruity martinis really took off is because they kept ordering them in the "Sex in the City" show. Sarah Jessica Parker always had a Cosmopolitan. After that, everyone had to have them just like her $500 a pair shoes. My girlfriend is killing me with those! Restaurants love martinis because they can sell a glass of juice and a little vodka for $10 opposed to a full glass of only vodka.

Dirty Martinis

The key is making the Martini extra cold. Make sure your glass is chilled. If you use a quality vodka or gin, don't use vermouth. Vermouth was more commonly used years ago when the vodkas were not as pure. It helped cover up the not so great taste of the vodka. Now, they are so pure that they only have a little taste and are easier to drink. Shake your martini with olive juice very hard. Not the traditional way to serve, but people love when you shake it very hard and have little ice shavings on the top. I call it ice skating! Drink heavily and enjoy.
