Crush Pizzeria, Nashua?

on draught, Bud, Bud Light, Shock Top and Sam Adams Summer.

In the bottle, I think the only additional choice was Heineken

Formosa Taipei II, Nashua N.H.

my fiancée called the Lexington location last week to inquire about the Nashua "closed for renovation" sign and she was told that the Nashua location has closed for good.

German food in Hooksett NH--Bavaria Restaurant

FWIW I've eaten here four times and never made a reservation. Three of those times were between 2pm and 3:30pm and the dining room was just about empty. The last time I was there, we arrived around 4:30. The dining room was pretty busy and we were asked if we had a reservation. After telling the hostess that we didn't, we were told "thats no problem" and we just didn't have our pick of tables like we usually do.

Each visit, I have noticed that the clientele is generally post-retirement aged, so this seems to create an early dinner rush that starts around 4pm.

As for attire, all four visits I was wearing jeans, sneakers and a t shirt and had no problems being seated and never felt unwelcomed at any point.

Taiwanese cusine--New restaurant in Nashua NH

FYI Formosa Taipei in Nashua is "temporarily closed"

We tried ordering takeout from Formosa this past Saturday and the phone just rang out. We drove by on Sunday and found a sign on the door that said they are temporarily closed and will re-open under new management.

I really hope they don't change the menu

Any good non-Italian sausage in NH?

-Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale

-Southern Tier Pumking

favorite Oktoberfest beer
-Ayinger Oktoberfest-Märzen
-Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest-Märzen
-Paulaner Oktoberfest-Märzen
-Weihenstephaner Festbier

German food in Hooksett NH--Bavaria Restaurant

Thanks for the heads-up on this. My fiancee and I ate here for lunch today.

We too had the Münchner Wurstplatte as an appetizer and thought everything on the plate was perfect. She had the Veal Rahmschnitzel and I had the Veal Jägerschnitzel. Both came swimming in delicious sauces and the spaetzel was quite good as well.

We were happily surprised to find the veal was pan fried, not battered and deep fried as most restaurants prepare schnitzel.

They have a respectable german bier selection as well.

This is now our favorite german restaurant in the area, much better than Jacob Wirth, the Green Barn, and even Wirtshaus in our opinion.

Best sugar house for maple syrup?

My Fiancee and I took a few days off in March and took an impromptu maple tour through NH and VT. We sampled both Grade A Dark and Grade B at as many sugar houses as we could find.

My favorites in NH are:
The Maple Guys: http://www.mapleguys.com/index.php?maincat=4

Fuller's Sugar House: http://www.fullerssugarhouse.com/

VT:
Sugarbush Farm: http://www.sugarbushfarm.com/

Smith Maple Crest Farm: http://www.smithmaplecrestfarm.com/Buy_Our_Maple_Syrup.html

Green Mountain Sugar House: http://www.gmsh.com/htm/products.htm

Microbreweries

How about Woodstock Inn Station & Brewery in North Woodstock NH. http://www.woodstockinnnh.com/

The website is dated, but the beer is quite good, as is the food.

It looks like their Maple Porter is on tap right now. Very tasty, and made with maple syrup from their neighbors, Fadden's Sugar House.

Common Man

I'm not generally a fan of the food at Common Man restaurants, but I thought that Camp in Meredith was quite good. So far, I've tried and enjoyed their mac and cheese, meatloaf and sheppards pie. My fiancée and I always have to get the Camp Crackers. Its a flatbread topped with cheddar, gorgonzola, garlic and scallions cut into small wedges. Their onion rings are pretty good too.

The portions are much better than the other Common Man restaurants we've visited, and the prices seem a bit better as well.

We've been twice so far and found the service to be great. The atmosphere is quite nice as well, with oil lamps at every table, a fieldstone fireplace with a moose head hanging above, and an overall feeling of a quaint old cabin

Casual, with great sandwiches, including vegetarian? New Boston? Francestown? Bennington area?

My fiancée and I really like Harlow's Pub in Peterborough, NH. They have tasty soups and sandwiches and a nice beer selection to boot.

Inexpensive and fantastic seafood along the New England coast?

I'd all but forgotten about Gilberts. Do they still offer their chowders in a bread bowl? Their seafood chowder is amazing as well.

Inexpensive and fantastic seafood along the New England coast?

My favorite coastal seafood restaurant is Petey's Summertime Seafood in Rye NH
http://peteys.com/directions.html

They have a great assortment of baked, broiled and fried seafood. My girlfriend and I are really fond of their fried whole belly clams, fried native shrimp and their fried mushrooms. I hear their clam chowder is quite good as well.

They should be opening for the season this week or next

Sugar Shacks Around Mount Washington

Fuller's Sugarhouse in Lancaster NH makes the best Light Amber maple syrup I've ever had. I just picked up a couple bottles from them a few weeks ago

Best Seafood in Portsmouth, NH

Petey's has great seafood, but they are closed for the month of February. They should be reopening the weekend of March 7th i believe.

Help! Bored with routine in Manchester, NH

I would not recommend Tortilla Flat in Merrimack. I've never been able to find anything spicy on their menu and their salsa and chips are horrible. Also, the last time my girlfriend and I ate there, she found a sharp chunk of aluminium in her refried beans about the size of a marble.

I'm not sure if it is 30 minutes from Manchester but we also like Amigo's Mexican Cantina http://www.amigosmilford.com/ on Rte 13 in Milford NH, right next to the oval. They serve decent tex-mex along with good margaritas and always have local beer on tap. Check out their hot sauces if you like heat. I just noticed that they are opening another Amigos in Merrimack at 75 DW Hwy in March of this year.

In Manchester, I would recommend Lala's Hungarian Pastries on Elm St. They have excellent goulash and chicken schnitzel and their pastries are amazing.

casual dinner near Mt. Washington?

According to Google Maps, Grandma's Kitchen is 14 miles, or about 16 minutes from Bretton Woods.

I will second Grandma's Kitchen. My girlfriend and I stayed up that way in 2007 and loved Grandma's Kitchen.

We also liked a place called Woodburn House in the center of Whitefield that was pretty decent, but their website isn't up anymore, so I have to wonder if they are still in business.

There are also a couple of restaurants at the Mountain View Grand that are decent. We ordered room service more than once when when we were up there and we both enjoyed it.

where to get jolokia peppers in western mass?

1. They're quite tasty (much better flavor than an orange habanero in my opinion)
2. A little goes a long way
3. Chile lovers become somewhat immune to the heat of peppers after a while. To get the same level of burn that you enjoy, you eventually have to step up to hotter peppers.

where to get jolokia peppers in western mass?

I've never been able to find them locally

http://www.chileplants.com/search.asp?ProductCode=FCHIBHJ&ChileForm=&SizeID=&SearchMode=advanced&LengthID=&WidthID=&HeightID=&OrientationID=&FoliageID=&FleshID=&UseID=&Color=&Location=&Keyword=&HeatID=6&TypeID=&CategoryID=9&SeasonID=&NewProduct=&Letter=&SearchButton=Pressed

If that link doesn't work, under the Search bar on the left, select "Ready to Eat Fresh Chiles" on the first drop down and under the "All Heat Levels" dropdown, choose "extremely hot". Click Go and the Bhut Jolokia should be the first selection on the list.

help: food stops in NH off 93 this weekend!

I cannot recommend any bakeries or donut shops off of 93, but were it me, I'd stop in for some pancakes at Robie's Country Store in Hooksett NH. http://www.robies.org/

As for pizza, my girlfriend and I love Flatbread Pizza Co and there is one located in North Conway NH http://www.flatbreadcompany.com/2007NorthConway.htm

I would also recommend Sal's Pizza

Unpasteurised Cider Central or Southern New Hampshire

There are two orchards in Londonderry NH, fairly close to 93 that offer their own cider as well as cider donuts
