need tamale take out for thanksgiving
IMHO, you can't go wrong with La Mascota Bakery. Growing up I remember taking trips with my folks early in the morning just to line up and pickup a few dozen of their moist and delicious tamales made fresh everyday. I figured if you ask almost any E LA resident as to where the good tamales are and chances are they'll point you in the direction of this bakery. Having been in business for over 50 years certainly speaks for itself as well. Try it, you won't regret it. Either come when they open or right before lunch where you probably won't deal with the line, which moves along rather quickly. Pick them up a day ahead and just keep them refrigerated. Parking is in the rear.
