TP, have you had the db burger? special treat and a great deal right now

Best Burgers Miami 2012

I'm a fan of the LeTub burger but this list is Miami. Regardless, not sure it cracks the Miami list these days, Those listed have raised the game. On a side note, Le Tub Gumbo is worth getting

need a few dining recommendations

That's 34 miles of Groovin

Restaurants near JW Marriott Marquis in Miami?

Stay at the hotel and do db Bistro Moderne or walk across the street to Area 31. Take a short cab ride to Edge Steak & Bar (not a steakhouse), NeMesis Urban Bistro or Tuyo.

2 days & 1 night in Palm Beach

I'd go on the early side and try sitting at the bar. Good luck and report back if you make it

2 days & 1 night in Palm Beach

I'm a big fan of Cafe Boulud for lunch or dinner. I'm heading up in a couple of weeks and booked a reservation at Buccan. I haven't been yet but I've heard great things, Chef Conley also recently opened a new Japanese/Sushi place next door called Imoto.

I finally treated myself and tried the db burger. It's a great deal and a fantastic burger. Lived up to the hype for me. Only knock is that it is almost impossible to eat w/out a fork/knife but it works nonetheless. Their fries are up there with the best in town too.

This deal is the way to go if you have any interest in trying the burger. You get a glass of bordeaux, app and dessert. The pate app is off the charts good.

Best nacatamales and ArrĂ²s negre?

Andrew Zimmern (Bizzare foods) raved about the nacatamales at Fritanga Montelimar (Kendall) when he was in town. I haven't made it down there yet though.

Baby-friendly special occasion restaurant

special occasion wise, if doing outside MGFD. Inside-Michy's.

New Pho Downtown Hollywood

I've been there a couple of time and had no issues with the service although the place was almost empty on both occasions. I went with the Banh Mi both times and thought it was decent at best. Fresh but light on meats and bread was not authentic. Heard the Pho was good from a reliable chef in town.

Wine Dinners in Dade/Broward

yeah but no one wants to hit the beach on Friday night at midnight during Memorial Day weekend

Midtown area dining suggestion

The tripe dish I had at Salumeria was great. I've been several times now and really enjoy it. Specials board is usually the play although it appears that they have added some of those to the regular menu.

TP, Sardinia still top notch? I was a big fan for a while but have neglected it for a couple of years now primarily due to t he influx of so many quality new spots. Worth returning to?

Midtown area dining suggestion

Salumeria 104 or Ni.Do. Caffe.
More on both here http://www.thechowfather.com/2012/05/nido-caffe-mimo-photo-recap.html and here http://www.thechowfather.com/2012/01/first-date-salumeria-104-midtown-miami.html

Baby-friendly special occasion restaurant

true on both points. But Sra. Martinez works

Outside at Michael's is perfect. Indoors at Sugarcane works too. I'd add Edge Steak and Bar (Four Seasons on Brickell) to the mix because they just added an outdoor terrace area. Food is great too.

Best Burgers Miami 2012

I would add Blue Collar to the top ten in Sustain's place.

I give the edge to Bourbon as well. Dutch v Edge is close call. Both very good. Need to try the Edge again before rendering a final opinion.

Try the Blue Collar burger if you haven't already,

JR couldn't crush Shake Shack in their wet dreams. Not even close.

I actually was a Judge at the Burgies and had the opportunity to sample JR's along with 20 plus other burgers side by side and blind. JR's got crushed. gastropod and burger and beer joint won easily.

Gulfstream Village Park in Hallandale -- any good eats?

Bigstu,

I hit Tony's for lunch and was very underwhelmed by their slice. Dough/crust is off and that's really all you tasted. Mauro's (Hollywood) and Kings County blow it away!!!

has anyone eaten at newly opened milos in south beach? What is your impression?Would you recommend it?

I'm hoping they offer the $24.00 three course lunch they do in NYC.

Is the market open during the day?

Kings County expanded (same location). Try their sicilian pie. I'll have to check out Tony's

Gulfstream Village Park in Hallandale -- any good eats?

I hated the Sicilian. Couldn't even finish the slice. Go to Kings County on Dixie. Best Pizza around.
