MC sums it up quite nicely. |

Ebisuya does carry them on a regular basis. Thank you so much for mentioning Zai. We really need a good yakitori restaurant. Toki closed. Kiyoshi closed. No yakitori = no good. |

There's a restaurant at H-Mart that makes wonderful pork buns. I can't recall the name but it's to the left of were Cho Cho's used to be (btw - they were bought out and have a new name but some dishes remain.) |

I'm a fan of Tepthida Khemer as well. I've posted about it years ago. I also like Pho 88. The shabu shabu is not authentic. They don't have ponzu! It's really just hot pot. |

I agree w/Kat on all points. I was underwhelmed by Wegman's. |

Euro Deli in NH: |

Where to dine between Cambridge and Ayer, MA? La Provence and Paparazzi are both in Concord. Fishbone's in Chelmsford. |

Craigie on Main Burger Question I'm glad you wrote that. I have yet to try the burger but I can see how it could come out tasting like that. |

Has anyone tried Otto Pizza yet (Harvard Sq)? I tried a few slices a few months back. It's good but not great pizza. It's not worth a special trip. |

Indian Grocery: Patel Bros. VS Waltham India Waltham India is a much more impressive place than Patel Bros. I shopped at both recently and I much preferred the much larger two-level Waltham India. |

6/9/10 The Clam Box of Ipswich: NOW I Get It: Unquestionably the Best! Does Clam Box close for the season or is it open year round? If so, when does it close and re-open? |

Myers and Chang - disappointing Same experience here - disappointed and underwhelmed. |

All the Indians I know go to the Pongal in Billerica. I have been several times and I can attest that it's the best. On Sundays, about 90% of the clientele are Indian families. But it's about the food. It's fresh and they have a great selection unlike the crappy Kebab and India Palace. I have not tried Pongal 2 in Sudbury yet but I'd imagine they are just as good. Monsoon is more expensive than those crappy restaurants but they have better food. Pongal is on a different and higher level than Monsoon. |

Zing Pizza in Porter Square: any reviews? Zing is absolutely terrible pizza. There are so many better options, there is no need to bother with that place. |
|

New Japanese Fish Market: Sakanaya I stopped by Sakanaya today. It is indeed EXCELLENT. We have to support this guy. Sakanaya is a gem! ----- |

Do they have donner kebab? |

Help me plan my own chocolate tour! In addition to L.A. Burdicks, Taza, and Cafe Fleuri, add Chocolee (where is she now?), and Teuscher on Newbury St. ----- Cafe Fleuri |
|

Nostalgic for cheddar cheese pizza There's also a place in W. Acton called New London Style Pizza. Is Cheddar's Pizzeria in Fresh Pond / Cambridge still around? |
|

Try Ebisuya Market in Medford. |
|

I really like Modern Pastry BUT #1 in the country is pretty pathetic. Anyways, the MEDFORD location is currently closed for major renovations. I look forward to a better cafe. I REALLY hope that they improve their coffee. It's terrible. ----- |

Who is taking Ken Ramen's place? Cafe Mami is taking over for Ken Ramen. Apparently, they bought his recipes so they will be serving ramen. At least that's the rumor... We'll see. I've been going to Sapporo Ramen lately. It has gotten to be quite good. They also have some new Japanese-Chinese dishes like Tan Tan Men, Ebi Chili and Mapo Dofu. ----- Sapporo Ramen |

Fastachi is the "nut" destination. ----- |

Shiki is one of the only authentic Japanese restaurants in that area. I think it's your best bet. ----- |

Framingham Center Restaurants? Aegean is excellent. There's also Sichuan Gourmet and in nearby Natick is Oga's sushi. http://www.aegeanrestaurants.com/aege... ----- |

Flat Patties has it in Harvard Sq. ----- |
|
|
Pizzeria Regina vs. Pizzeria Regina Fellow Foodies... Other than the ambience, is there any "objective" reason why the original Thatcher St. location is any better than the others? I haven't been in years so I can't remember why the North End location serves up a better pie. Help me out here or bust the myth. |
|
|
I agree! However, Flat Patties did change their bun. I'd have try them both again for a fair comparison. Hmmm... ----- |
|
|
I went to Wild Willy's once and left unimpressed. Not bad but nothing great like UBurger or Flat Patties. You would think UBurger would open up there because the founders own The Clambox. ----- Wild Willy's |

The best is Ebisuya in Medford followed by Japan Village Mart in Brookline. Neither Super 88/HK nor H-Mart offer the selection of Japanese products as those two. Ebisuya has a really great fresh fish department with nice cuts of fish, sashimi as well as a sushi bar. |
|

Asian supermarkets in the Boston area? There's Ebisuya in Medford. They have a couple of cases of prepared foods but not a great selection. |
