Corned Beef hash...from a can. Preferred brands? Hereford is the best brand but like "rochfood' I buy just the canned corned beef and then add potatoes, onions and green bell pepper to it when I cook it up. |

Casserole - but uncooked noodles? Recipe? I was looking for the same type of recipe today as I had one I made it in the past and found it again online. Of course any brand of pasta sauce can be used. I jazz mine up by browning some ground Italian sausage meat and cooked chopped spinach. Here is the link: |

What is your favorite hard to find candy? I know they don't make these any more as I have researched it and they are not really candy.... but as a child I used to love Pine Bros. chewy honey cough drops. |

well known brands that just arent as good as in the past I agree about Tropicana OJ...I only buy the Simply Orange brand now and find it is the best one now to me...The one with OJ and Pineapple is the best too in that brand. |

I feel the same about red velvet anything..I remember devils food cake as a child and that was much better! |
|
|
I agree about the chewy grains in Kashi frozen meals and they are pretty tasteless overall...I think Amys brand has the best frozen meals especially the Indian and Mexican ones! |

Foods you can't keep in the house because you can't stop yourself eating them I can't keep those cheap frozen burritos in my house as I get cravings for them and you can buy a lot of them for a little money. They take less than a minute to heat in the microwave if you thawed them in the fridge that they offer almost instant gratification but have all the bad calories in them! Also, frozen spring rolls (the kind that get the flaky crispy texture on the outside) that you cook in the oven. I usually eat them the first day I buy them even though I say I am not going to! |

Best packaged non-bakery store bought cookies I love coconut so Pepperidge Farm's Tahiti cookies are one of my favorites and I am glad they brought them back to this area. I also loved a cookie by Mother's called Taffy cookies that tasted like brown sugar and coconut with a white cream filling...I have to look and see if they still make those! |

What discontinued products do you miss? I don't remember pure honey as a dip for chicken McNuggets but I do love honey on Kentucky Fried Chicken....McDonald's probably doesn't offer honey anymore because have you seen the price of real honey in the store lately? |
|

What discontinued products do you miss? I never had the Stouffer's Lobster Newburg but I wish I had. I loved the Chicken Divan which was white chicken meat over broccoli spears in a creamy white cheese sauce. I haven't seen that one in a long time! |

What discontinued products do you miss? When I was a kid I would love to eat a whole Jeno's or Geno's pizza snack tray. You bought them in the frozen foods section. They came on an aluminum tray with little pizzas of three different flavors. They had six of each I think: Sausage, pepperoni and cheese.....I don't know what I would think about the taste now but I remember them as tasting the best! |

Best Instant Ramen? (please do not mock me, pretty please) The best instant ramen is Indo Mie brand Mi goreng as mentioned above. I like the original flavor and the satay flavor. It is kind of fun that they come with different packages one of thick sweet soy sauce, flavored oil and a chili powder in addition to the regular flavoring powder. Some of the flavors even come with a small pack of fried shallots. I usually slice up a hard boil egg to put in at the end and cook the noodles in the water before draining with a little napa cabbage...Yum! |

Do you have a favorite I'm-alone-now-so-nobody-will-know favorite dish? Indo mie Instant noodles...like ramen but you poor off the water after they boil (they come with four little packets you poor on top and mix at the end...palm oil packet, seasoning powder, thick sweet soy sauce and powdered chile powder)...I add a sliced up hard boiled egg and some french fried onions on top.....yummy! I also get cravings for XLNT tamales that come in the white bag near the lunch meat. |

I tried the sea salt and olive oil flavored variety and they tasted stale to me too and a bit too oily. |

Fresh ricotta ideas (no sweets, please) Here is a favorite recipe using ricotta cheese I saw on the food network..I have made it over and over again. I usually use Linguine instead of tagliatelle though...Yummy! |
|
|
The kind I like is made with Wakeme seaweed and usually has soy sauce and sesame seeds in it to and is kind of sweet and salty at the same time. |

I don't live in Massachusetts but you can usually find seaweed salad at a grocery store that sells sushi they prepare on site. It will be in a plastic container already made in a plastic containers right next to the already made sushi. It is really yummy! |

Admit it... There's Some Dishes at Chain Restaurants You Like I never eat at fast food type places but I get this unnatural craving for Panda Express about once a month almost like it is a drug..I know it isn't real Chinese food but I love to get half chow mein/half fried rice and then pick my three entrees...I take it home and eat it all. I know it is full of fat and sodium but then I am happy again for a month....mmmmmm |

I have been making this dish lately that contains whole milk ricotta when I saw it made on the Food Network and it is really yummy. |

You could also try the Pacific Dining Car in Santa Monica as they have an afternoon tea. |
