Personally I go with Vidalias, but I consider those yellow onions. They're so much sweeter, which I like.

Personally, I make this potato soup that has like a pound of bacon in it (the bacon is boiled in with the potatoes, then fat removed), cheese soup, cream of celery soup, extra shredded cheese, cream cheese dissolved in it while cooking...
Soooo rich and good. I know, high calorie, bad for me, but one of my favorite foods to make. I think I'll make it with green onions sometime.
It's so rich that it gives you the 'itis when you eat it... by this I mean the inevitable food coma after eating Thanksgiving dinner. Seriously, a bowl of this and you're ready to pass out.

Anyone else have a soup they like to make like this?:)

Tried searching the recipes for beef liver, but found nothing.
So I found out not too long ago that I'm slightly anemic. The nurse explained to me the two different types of iron (basically meat iron and veggie/grain iron, meat iron being more readily absorbed by the body and thus better).
One of the best things I can eat, I've found, is liver. But the only way I know to prepare it is liver and onions fried in butter (and even then don't know how long to cook it).
So tell me, guys, what's some yummy, relatively easy (still rather amateur in cooking) and cheap ways to make liver?
On a side note, I don't like spicy stuff or peppers.
Suggestions are appreciated. :)

I live in West Des Moines, and love to go to Granite City's Sunday brunches for their Baked Reggiano Hash Browns. I can't for the life of me seem to find a recipe for these to make at home, though! Can anyone help me?

Every time I frost a cake, it always looks really sloppy... just never looks nice.
I've tried it with different utensils. I've done it when the cake is still warm, and when its cooled off, and it always seems to end up messy and such.
Advice?
