Santa Barbara Recs for this Sunday
My cousin and I are going to see Bourdain & Ripert this Sunday at the Arlington and need recs for dinner following the lecture. We're meeting up with 2 other friends who are also attending the event (one who's not eating meat at the moment, the other a carnivorous foodie like my cousin and I). We just want good food, atmosphere doesn't really mean much to us if the food totally sucks.
Thanks!
Good Eats in Phoenix Area?
We are staying in Scottsdale, and visiting my cuz in Tempe. So, I guess restaurants in that area. Thanks!
Good Eats in Phoenix Area?
My fiance and I (from SoCal) will be visiting my cousin at ASU next weekend, and we are looking for good places to eat. No offense to my cuz, but he has no taste in food! What are your suggestions? We are open to all types of ethnic foods, as long as they are tasty and authentic!
Thanks!!

Port Hueneme:
Pho Saigon - Vietnamese
Oxnard:
Blue Elephant - Thai
Lupita's - Mexican
Tierra Sur - Kosher
It's In the Sauce -- BBQ
Swan's Korean BBQ
Camarillo:
Hamayu Sushi - it's where the local Japanese eat!!
California Grill
Cafe India
Peking Inn
Ventura:
Brooks
It's In the Sauce
Andria's -- Seafood
Sidecar
Cuernavaca
Old Vienna
Ojai:
Ranch House
Thousand Oaks:
Mastro's Steakhouse
Westlake Village:
Pinkberry!! The only one that's in VC. It's on the border, so it technically counts.
Don't ever go to Mai's in Ventura. The food is totally inauthentic, even the waitress (Vietnamese) told my mom and I (both Vietnamese) that we would be disappointed and we were! Go where the local Viets go...Pho Saigon!!
My philosophy is that if you eat ethnic food it's best to go to a restaurant where the people that tend to eat there are of that ethnicity.
Does anyone know of any good Italian food? Like real Italian, not the American Italian that's normally served.
