What to order at Los Balcones del Peru

My wife and I are going to Los Balcones del Peru for the first time tonight. Any can't miss dishes that we should order?

Pizza and Pitchers of Beer

How is the pizza at Red Ball? I drive by there all the time, but have never stopped in.

Best GELATO? Recommendations please?!?

FOURTH!!! The pistachio is absolutely amazing. Love many other flavors too, but the pistachio is an absolute must. Truly one of the best things I've ever tasted.

Seeking Cheap Eats (NOT Fast Food) For Lunch in West Hills/Woodland Hills

The two Mission Burrito's are related; their is a third one on Kester in Van Nuys. I believed they are owned by the folks who own Sierra's in Woodland HIlls and San Fernando. The Mission Burrito mentioned above is actually at Vanowen and Canoga, not Topanga.

The Great French Fry Debate

I'll vouch for the fries at Daglas Burgers; definitely the best fries in the west SFV. They are absolutely of the fresh cut variety. Sometimes they use a bit too much seasoning salt, but I'm sure you can ask them to go easy on the salt. Visited Daglas yesterday for the first time in a couple years and the fries were as good as ever.

Woodland Hills & Vicinity Eats

I'll second The Baker. Very good sandwiches, good simple salads and freshly baked bread. The have some pretty good cookies.....I recently sampled their chocolate chip cookies, very tasty. The used to make alfajores (sp?), but I haven't seen them in a while.

Embracing Burbank

Don't forget the remarkable gelato at Monte Carlo. The pistachio is absolutely out of this world.

Great Breakfast near 101 in SLO-Atascadero-Paso Robles?

I have to disagree on the Apple Farm. The food is mediocre and somewhat overpriced. The clientele is made up primarily of tourists.

I like the Del Monte Cafe too. Nothing earthshaking....casual and tasty.

El Tepeyac Cafe

Try the enchiladas rancheras at El Tepeyac.....absolutely declicious. I much prefer them to the burritos.

Another vote for Captain Kidd's; not fancy, but really good.

Kid Friendly in Mendocino/Ft. Bragg

We're going to be camping in the Mendocino area next week and would like to go out for a good, casual dinner with our boys (ages 5 & 7) in the area. Lunch recommendations would be welcomed as well.

BEST GELATO

I'll go along with those who suggested Monte Carlo. I tried their pistachio yesterday for the first time and it was incredible. The chocolate is very good as is the chocolate chip, but the pistachio is simply amazing.
