Where to go with Mom coming to visit
My sister and I live in Manhattan and our Mom is coming this weekend to visit. We're looking for a mid-priced restaurant for dinner this Saturday. We live in the East Village but are open to going anywhere. Something relatively new with a fun atmosphere. She doesn't drink so that doesn't really have to be part of the consideration. Any ideas you have would be great, sorry for the slightly vague request!

Thanks chocolatebirhtdaycake, Max Brenner sounds great for dessert! Unfortunately (I should have said it before) my sister is allergic to wheat. So Italian restaurants are the only ones where she doesn't have many options. Any other dinner suggestions?

My sister and I moved to Manhattan in July so we've been out a lot but haven't been to a ton of restaurants for special occasions. We want to go somewhere with a really fun atmosphere that will come out to around $50-$60 per person. There are four of us going out, so it doesnt have to accomodate big groups. We're going next weekend, please help!

I'm going out with three girls tonight and we want to get sushi. The problem is, I'm kind of broke. They are visiting from out of town so I want it to be a fun atmosphere, but I just can't break the bank! Any suggestions?
