Sunday brunch in Old Montreal
Suite 701, which is in your hotel has one of the nicest terrasses in the city! I'm not sure they have a sunday brunch but if they do just take the elevator to the roof. Cartet, Holders are both great but no terasse. Unfortunately everything else around are tourist traps.
Most Overrated Beer?
Most overrated: stella artois\heineken. Great beer that i haven't been able to find in ages is Tucher Dunkles a german brown that i thought was awesome!
Le Bourlingeur - under my radar
It's nice to see a restaurant pick up their game, i went about three years ago and ordered my beef rare and what i got was three pieces of shoe leather in a tasteless unidentifiable brown sauce. Not sure i'm brave enough to try again, for the same price, i'd hit Holder or cross the street to Stash instead. Would love to read other reviews so that maybe my mind might be changed, i live two blocks from there!!

It might sound weird but i've always had the most success cooking paella in a wok. It might even be the only time I use it.

Agreed, I'd rather have a bagel with too much cream cheese than not enough!

Holders is great! It might be tough for a group but Stash is always fantastic.

Wow, durian. I mean really! Can it really be that bad? Has anyone tried it? Saw Anthony Bourdain eating it on "No reservations" and he was loving it. Sometimes the effort is worth the rewards.

I would like to think I have tasted everything but i haven't. I've never had:
-white truffles
-fresh porchini mushrooms
-a scotch older than me
-kobe beef
These are just off the top of my head, is there anything that you haven't tasted yet that you want to. I'm sure there are a hundred things i didn't think of.

I' m sitting here eating a bowl of cereal, I've let it sit in the milk for at least 10 minutes. Is there anyone else who likes it soggy. If so, share which ones and why? Would love to know i"m not the only one with the soggies. It's how i roll!

Piri Piri
I've been to Janos, a very decent portugese grill restaurant, but it just so happens that their piri-piri is incredible. If you ask, they will let will let you take some to go. I put this stuff on everything!!
