Trip Report - Seattle/Yakima/Woodinville, WA - VERY LONG

This is a very thorough report. Thanks for doing it. Heading to SEA for the first time next weekend and downloaded this to my iPad for reference. Won't get to be as thorough as you as I have kids, but will do what damage I can.

I am still sifting through the board and may find an answer elsewhere but: I know you weren't traveling with kids but based on what you saw, any places stand out as good for discriminating adults toting boys around?

Barcelona: pls advise on markets, specialties for xmas period

Just got back from Barcelona two days ago. Like you said Boqueria is a must and eating at Pinotxo Bar was one of the highlights of my trip. But it is right off the Rambla and it is packed with tourists, both of which are strikes against it in retrospect. Without a recommendation from the owners of Cinc Sentits, I likely wouldn't have visted the Santa Caterina market. But I did and preferred it over the boqueria because: 1) it's less crowded, 2) it's primarily locals out shopping, and 3) the people we came across were extremely nice and accomodating (not something that can be said of all Barcelonans - hey, it's a big city so I understand).

Dress Protocol for Barcelona

First, thanks to all of you that have created a fantastic resource on food in Barcelona (with special shout out to PBSF). My upcoming trip will be much better because of your collective input.

I have tried to read the majority of threads, and have looked elsewhere online, for guidance on dress code at (what I perceive as) higher-end restaurants in Barcelona. Maybe I missed it so feel free to just link to a prior discussion. Specifically, can anyone give me an idea for appropriate attire at Cinc Sentits, Comerc24, and El Celler de Can Roca? For men - dressy casual, business casual or jacket and tie? For women - whatever guidance my wife will find useful?

Thanks in advance.

Barcelona / San Sebastian in May

My wife and I are doing Barcelona and San Sebastian for 10 days total at the end of April, beginning of May. I have also been scouring the boards and have my wish list that needs to be pared down.

PBSF, thanks for your prolific posting. I am taking your recommendations to heart. As a former San Francisco resident, I love that Delfina is in your top 5.
