Shelled Crab Meat - need 6 pounds

Try Costco if you are able to use the canned lumpcrab meat. Comes refrigerated in 1# cans. It's fine for many appetizer recipes mixed with other ingredients.

There's a very good take out place, just a few tables, at a place in Hermosa Beach, Brother's Burritos. There's a menu of items and they will customize your burritos(two to an order), bowls or salads. Their "hot" salsa is and it's so tasty. Nice, nice people who own and work the place.

Wedding Night Dinner in Seattle (?)

We just had a wonderful dinner at Canlis on 4/16. The ambience is beautiful and romantic. Order anything and it will be well prepared and carefully presented but be sure to order the Grand Marnier Souffle at the beginning of your meal. It may just be the most perfect souffle I've ever had, and that includes places in Paris. It's light and oh so delicious. Oysters were fabulous and the Twice Baked Potato a must.
Best Wishes to you!!

The bright side is possibly a new Mexican place instead of MM.
Can still get your coconuts at one of the farmer's markets, Tuesday/Hanalei, Saturday/Hanalei, Thursday/Kilauea.
Change...the one thing you may count on.

Babouch, totally agree with your opinion, yucky.
Valentino's in M.B. has excellent Italian sandwiches, partly due to the homemade rolls. Their pizzas are really tasty but best eaten asap. Also, Portside Deli (used to be Dino's) in Rancho Palos Verdes (really it's still San Pedro to me) has tasty sandwiches like prosciutto/fontina, turkey, meatball.

Update: Sad to report that Blossoming Lotus is now closed as well as Mango Mama's. However, you can enjoy the Eastside in Kapaa. We were there on Valentine's Day and had the most divine butter poached lobster on risotto with truffle oil, I've tried to order it on each subsequent visit but it must have been a special for that night only. The left side of the menu is Pacific Rim, the right seems to be a mix of comfort and asian inspired. Quality ingredients including local produce, skillfully prepared. Cozy place, b.y.o.b. and there's live music most nights.
I'd like to repeat a mention from a previous link re Kilauea Fish Market. It's really hitting it's stride and continues to improve. The plate lunches (available all day) are great, especially the Korean Chicken and the Ahi Wrap is a complete meal and a half. Definitely featuring the best of local products in a casual setting.

Depends on what type of Mexican food you're into. If you like L.A./Mexican style you're in luck. Monico's Taqueria located in the Kinipopo Shopping Village in Wailua has really tasty dishes and huge portions. I especially like their chicken mole. As you're heading north from the airport it's just on the other side of the Shell station.

South Bay Thai, Indian, and/or American-Chinese Restaurants that you go to often

I think it may be Szechuan,924 N. Sepulveda, M.B., across the street from BR 31 Flavors. Not bad, depends on what you order and I'm sorry it's been a while since I've been. I think the tangerine spicy chicken was a good dish.
Previous to Red Fort, the food was delicious but seriously gone down hill since new concept, unless you like the blaring Bollywood ambience. Worth the drive: Taste of India, Sherman Oaks; the Chicken Makhni is divine.

Boyfriend's Birthday in Paris April 13

I think Paris is a great place for a celebration. Tons of good places for dinner, one of my favorites is Apicius, in a beautiful villa in the middle of the city. Definitely a special occasion place. Tableside service, sommelier, sublime food. I would go just for the cheese cart.

A fun and lively lunch could be L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Counter seating for 36, tapas servings, interesting wines by the glass and an international mix of foodies. The Parisian seated next to me (a stranger) offered a bite of his most favourite dish, ha! Pricey but hey, you're in Paris. A fun and social place to be sure.

Breakfast/lunch at the Rue Royale location of La Duree, be sure to save room for the famous macarons.

You will have a fabulous celebration in this city, I've never had a bad meal, snack or Berthillon glace.

Costco Vodka

Haven't tried the Pinnacle yet but will. The Kirkland is pretty good for mixed drinks but it's hard to beat the real deal for a martini.

Best Brunch in LA?

The Peninsula in B.H. has a great brunch, including succulent moo shu duck carved by a chef and served at your table. Nice to be served all the dishes except for the dessert buffet. Veuve Cliquot too, nice touch.

Chow near Arclight Hollywood?

Love the drinks at the Cat. What's the word on The Waffle?

North Shore Kauai Tip Report

Well, until that happens we can also enjoy Chef Randall Yates' dishes at Casa d'Amici in Poipu, very tucked away but worth the effort.

Oh for the days of the Ahi Rossini and the lumpia

2 weeks in Kauai...

Forgot to mention Tropical Dreams for the best gelato around. It's in the same stone building as Kilauea Fish Market but doesn't open till around 2:30 p.m. The lemon gelato is killah.

Word has it that the St. Regis may not be re-opening on schedule from it's big renovation and conversion from Princeville Hotel, hopefully you'll be able to get the straight scoop so as not to dissappoint.
Anyway, Tropical Taco in Hanalei with always fresh and crispy fried or grilled fish, huge and delicious. "X19" homemade hot/spicy salsa if you ask. Duane's Ono (good) Burger in Anahola, da best, try the Local Boy. Last but not least, Kilauea Fish Market's Ahi wraps, oh boy, unbelievably good. Open evenings and byob, they'll provide openers and glasses.
