Because we're indecisive, by the time we made reservations for M&C for Friday we had to take an early slot. We'd like to go out for drinks afterwards, but don't know the south end very well. Any suggestions appreciated!
Hamersley's for birthday dinner?
I'm scouting out a place to take my husband for his b-day Saturday, and Hamersley's seems like a good option. The menu looks good, the prices are out of reach normally but I think we can swing it for a special occasion. My questions are a) is the food good enough to justify the prices? and b)is it a celebratory atmosphere? We have 2 kids under 2 so we don't get out much, and I'd like to show him a good time. Also wonder if there's a good place nearby for a pre-dinner cocktail (afterwards I was planning to take him to hear music at Wally's) Thanks!!!!
Helmand, Lala Rokh, or other for B-day?
I'm taking my husband out for his 35th on Friday, and looking for a place that has great, interesting food, a romantic atmosphere, and isn't hugely expensive (up to $40-50 each is fine though). So far these two seem to fit the bill, and I wanted to know if anyone has opinions about which is better or other suggestions. . . .
