i'm not sure about your definition of fancy... but the wilshire in santa monica uses produce and meat from within a 300 mile radius (all produce is farmers market), fig looks badass and has a woman titled "forager" who goes SD to SF buying for them, and (agreeing with below) the curious palate on venice.
